Mexicali???

Pardon my curiosity but no one here from Mexico?? Sure there’s a boatload of other countries I wonder about too but Mexico’s first on my list.

According to the following thread, SvenWalker is from Mexico, and I am second closest to Mexico without being in Mexico.

What do you want to know about Mexico?

Hey I need you to pick up a parcel for me. Just kidding. No I just love mangoes. My favorite fruit! Specifically these one.

The best mangoes ever! I think they're are called Haden mangoes? Does it grow in their backyards? That's what I'm wondering. Yes, he who has a Haden mango tree is a friend indeed!

Yeah Sven, I don't think he's around anymore. Anyways I wanted to know something on Hayden mangoes. Those are my favourite and the mangoes I buy always seem to be from Mexico.

That thread posted has quite an interesting map of BLF members though. You can really get a good perspective of the members out there from that map, even though it's over 8 yrs old.

I have made a many year study of Mexico. Read lots of books over many years, but I have only been there briefly a few times. Geography and culture are robust. I wanted to move there. I didn't, because I would not be able to bring my gun collection. I also extensively studied Andean South America. World geography and culture are mind-blowing, to me, anyway. Palenque ain't Kansas. Cuzco ain't Poughkeepsie. San Cristobal De Las Casas ain't Bayonne.

Whatever people say about people in country X being not friendly just simply is not true. There are plenty of friendly, spiritual people in all countries.

Another mango lover here. Ever tried the Edward mango?

It’s by far the best variety of mango in my opinion. Much smoother and less stringy consistency, and just incredibly juicy and sweet.

I'm hoping to try it for sure now that you mention it's less stringy. Looks tasty and plum and noticed the skin stays yellowish! Just wondering if local market will stock it this year.

The other type we get is the Ataulfo mango. Ever try it? Quite stringy though.

Ataulfo Mango

So many mango types out there too! Whoa look at the one called Kau!. Looks interesting!

It might be a while yet. I believe the season comes once a year in December.

That one looks lovely as well, I don’t think I’ve seen that kind.

Wow those sure are great adventures! True, one sees human nature best when amongst their environment. Any mosquito avoidance tips? Plus get to know the right locals so you blend/learn quicker. Oh and yeah for sure got to pack some weapons. Like Rick in the Walking Dead series with his Colt Python.
