PowerStyle W109

Received this light a few days ago. I'm nicely surprised with the quality and the feel of the flashlight sold for that price. The anodisation is fine and even type II, machining is good and construction is rugged. The lens is plastic (uncoated), but this do not affect the quality of the beam. I didn't tried 3xAAA, but with a freshly charged 18650 I measured some 1.5 A at the tailcap (probably direct drive) and 14000 lux at 1 meter. It takes 270 degrees on my sample to rotate zooming ring from max. to min. and 14 steps (or clicks, pretty loud, by the way). All in all, highly recommended. I have both Sa-28 and Small Sun ZY-C84, and PowerStyle is way above in the zooming lights category.

How is the pill?

In the SA-28 the led star is only supported by the edges (heat transfer can be improved)... the same?

Led base 14, 16, 20mm? a picture of that would be appreciated.

Does the beam look like a roulette wheel on your sample like it does on the manafont website?

Cheaper on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.de/Super-Bright-Adjustable-Zoom-Cree-LED-Flashlight-Torch-/130419091081?pt=US_Flashlights&hash=item1e5d956689

Seems to be exactly the same light including the same battery holders.

Aint 1.5A a bit too much?

Do a review with pics if you have time and desire.

Yes, the beam look like a roulette wheel, although not so prominent as on the Manafont image :)

Inside diameter of the pill where the led is hold in position by press fitted alu foil is 17 mm.

Led holds in a flat surface, which is best.
But the pill does not seem to have such good thermal contact with the rest of the body. :~
Thanks for the pics.

the cheap one listed might be a luxeon led emitter.
