Wait for the night.

Do you?

It's 8:00pm here and it's not dark yet. Neighbors be mowing the lawn, kids be playin' in the street, all the lights are charged, dog needs a walk....and it's not dark yet. DST pisses me off.

When you entered BLF, you knew this is an asylum. But after some time, your mind tricks you into thinking this would be a normal place to be. Unheard

“Daylight savings time”, “summer time”, whatever it’s called, is an abomination unto the LORD.

Iunno. I live close enough to the Equator that even when DST still existed in Brazil, at 8PM I would only see the very last dregs of sunlight reddening up the horizon and the land was totally dark. And that was near the summer solstice (21st Dec for us). It was odd to have direct sunlight at 7PM, so much so that when I got into college class I would greet people saying “Good afternoon!” lol Big Smile

Now, in the two years we haven’t had DST… I sort of miss it! Not much, though, the whole hassle of changing the time on all clocks and the validation issues from many mobile apps because of timezone issues are two things that belong in the past IMO, never to return.

That said, there is a tradeoff we pay for: direct morning sunlight at 4:30AM-ish in my bedroom window Sick

I have a few things to combat the dark night forces..when it arrives I fear no evil.

well, last Saturday night, the Starlink satellites fought the dark for fifteen minutes.
we lost count at eighty, and they just kept on coming.
sort of like a slow meteor shower in tight formation.

Or Whitesnake, Night Ranger, White Lion, Journey, or Bon Jovi, list goes on.
Chik rock, wannabee hard rock but just highly over produced Blender Bubblegum BS.

Throw in Dokken for good measure too.
