Flashlight with good strobe/flashers for biking?

Looking for a 21700 cell flashlight with good strobe/flashers, any recommendations? I have an astrolux ec01 and not really satisfied with its options, the bike flasher is too fast and the strobes are too fast or bright.

Careful, there. There’s quite a contingent here that believes we should all bend the knee to our Teutonic overlords and obey German law world-wide. Flashing headlights on a bike is illegal in Germany.

Personally, I think that’s stupid, and especially during the day, I like bike strobe on a headlight. The biscotti-like firmware in the new 12-mode Convoy S2+ and S21A are pretty good. But, I have used an EC01 on my bike, and I didn’t mind the brightness or the speed of the bike strobe, so I don’t know if the Convoys are different or better. I just like them better because the S2+ is smaller, and the S21A doesn’t have a usb flap to get muddy or wet.

Can’t you adjust the brightness of bike strobe on the EC01?

Doesn’t andouille let you set the flash rate and brightness of the blinkies? I’ve got no use for any of that, but vaguely recall it’s possible to config it to whatever you want. Whether it “sticks” or you have to redo it each time, I have no idea.

Yes. Strobes belong to discos, not on public roads. There is a good reason why cars or motorbikes don’t have them either.

i don;t like bike strobes usually

they are about 50% duty cycle, use too much battery and still not really bright enough

The EC01 uses Anduril which lets you adjust the speed/frequency of the strobes, but only the brightness of bike flasher.

One of the strobes will use your brightness level you were at before activating strobe. Set your brightness and then see which strobe allows you to change the speed by a hold of the switch to speed up or a click and hold to slow down

I tried the bike flasher but don’t really like it, the light is on and has a faint quick strobe, would prefer if it was off with a quick strobe.
The party strobe is descent brightness but is too fast even at the lowest speed. The tactical strobe is batshit crazy, it’s basically turbo with a strobe, it’ll blind everyone.
I just found the beacon strobe in the blinkies section and it’s good enough, blinks every second or so and the brightness is set by the brightness when the light is on. I’ll stick with that for now, has anyone edited the firmware?

Convoy’s ramping driver has an option for a slow flash which could also be of use
