What’s the UI?

Interested as long as it has a simple UI , I don’t need a disco ball effect.

For those who are asking about the UI, there are a couple of reviews on BLF the describe the UI. The UI is ok, but not great. The strobe isn’t well hidden.

One of the attractive features of this light is that it can take both AA NiMH and 14500. Unfortunately, none of the reviews that I found answered these questions:

  1. It states that it is compatible with NiMH and Alkaline. Is it FULLY compatible? Obviously, the brightness will be lower vs 14500, but there are some other compatibility considerations:
1a. Does the breathing function work when using NiMH and alkaline?
1b. Does the battery level indicator function work properly when using NiMH and alkaline? I’m guessing this may be a gotcha. Most of these multi-chemistry lights don’t have a properly functioning battery level indicator when using NiMH or alkaline.

Now this sounds way cool.
