[Honest review] ARMYTEK WIZARD C2 PRO - 2500 lumens headlamp & bike light

A potentially great light let down by…

They do have the QR code to scan for the full manual. That is on the box and in the manual and I believe it’s on their website. I have not scanned it but I assume it will show you that you need to loosen the tail cap slightly to charge. That is how armytek have operated with the magnetic charger forever. It is an oversight to not include that and make it easily understood. Some cables were shipping with a little sticker/diagram attached to them but not all. The instructions to enable/disble the 4-second flashing switch green battery indicator are also not on the manual but hopefully in the full manual. I suspect they were undecided on a few things when they went to print however it should have been fixed by now. They do have some videos on YouTube. I believe the old instructions on wizard pro fully apply other than turbo 3. And no matter how you slice it the instructions are hard to understand by reading it. Video reviews by people who understand it are helpful. Once you do understand it you can turn it on almost any where you want or jump around to wherever you want once you are on pretty easily. You didn’t show the clip at all to show the benefits of this multi-use flashlight.

Wow, certainly a niche product

I added some to the above post

Your post is harder to understand than the manual, are you an Armytek rep?

The QR code on box just says “scan to view more” which I presumed was other products in the range. The QR code in the manual is on the Russian page which I didn’t read.

No I am not a rep. I do think that you should have contacted them if you had problems or questions about the light before you posted that video. You certainly could have pointed out that there were omissions in the included instructions after you contacted them. It is a somewhat niche product that is slightly expensive and therefore not a lot of people have them. I think it’s the best multi-use light out there and I’ve carried one as a secondary light on my person for 3 years.

Tried charging with a 1/4 turn. Light still won’t charge.

Like most lights I review now, it is faulty.

Imalent sent me 3 MS03’s, all were faulty. Every lumintop fw I receive has a problematic tail switch. I do contact companies but nothing gets done. I review as seen now.

What is the battery voltage at? I haven’t measured exactly but I believe the voltage needs to be down below 4v to charge.

It’s at 4.07V lol, Oh my days.

The QR code didnt even take me to the manual lol. It took me to the listing.

When you go to the listing on their website and then click on that and then go all the way to the bottom you can download a manual. Is it ideal? no

i can see it both ways. On one hand, Flashaholic Should (and almost should be expected to) review the product exactly how they get it, faults and all. Because that could be the way any of us would receive it and there is value in that. For us to know that this can happen to us even when ordering more expensive lights with good reputations.

On the other hand, there is also value in Flashaholic reaching out to the company and affording them the opportunity to make it right, explain the product, explain how to find the manual (that is just odd and kind of inexcusable), and let us know if the company did any of the aforementioned things or just told him to "deal with it".

I watch reviews of other people & products where the reviewer handles it both ways. I appreciate knowing how a product may show up to me in the mail (that it could be faulty) but i more so appreciate knowing that if it Does show up faulty, the company is going to make it right, or if the company is going to ignore me.

Thanks for the review flashaholic, i appreciate them.

Cheers. If Armytek had listed it as a quick start user guide in the user manual I would have watched other reviews etc and looked for a PDF.
I’m used to looking for Convoy instructions as they mainly come without a manual.
It never actually crossed my mind there’d be a more detailed user guide out there somewhere as it seemed like a “complete package”. After 200 odd reviews it is alien to me. You live and learn!

Tbh with the charging it doesn’t say “only charge at under 4V” and I very rarely let batteries get under 4V anyway during a review anyway. So even if I’d discovered the full manual and did the incantation to start charging it still would have appeared faulty!!!

Anybody interested in buying this light is going to do a lot more research beforehand than you did (none). You list this as an honest review. You should probably state that this is a review after using it for less than 30 minutes and having no prior experience with armytek lights. I can appreciate the time and effort that you put into these videos. I’m just saying that you need to spend a little more time with these lights. Edit. And as I stated above, yes the manual is lacking in a few areas and is a problem. Pointing that out in the review is a good idea. It’s not a problem with the light, it’s an armytek problem. However, trying to create instructions in as many languages as they do and cover everything probably is a monumental task takes a lot more than 30 minutes. It’s complicated

Okay, I can’t believe no one asked about the “angry guy and two cars” from the beginning.

Were they flashlight reps looking to beat you up?

Seems AT gets a very mixed reputation here on BLF and I can understand why based on some limited users experiences. That said, my Wizard Pro WW is my go-to travel and DIY/car repair light. It has seen many late night jobs , many trips and has yet to let me down. Tint is great, versatility is great, CRI acceptable and UI is excellent and strangely close to Zebralight

Not to say this light is perfect or infallible but so far is has been exceptional for me. I keep meaning to get a ZL to compare head to head… but just can’t justify replacing it!
