Custom Stvzo-type Dual Beam Bike Light?

Was looking at the Lumintop B01. Output is only a mere 850lm. Is anyone able to bump that output to 2000lm? Change of pcb or change of LED doesn’t matter. Would love it in WW.

Just get a normal flashlight with a bike mount, done.

If you want a StVZO compliant light, you are not allowed to modify it. The Lumintop B01 is not certified to be StVZO compliant and cannot be used on public roads in Germany.

Ah, I didn’t realize what “StVZO” was.

I’m sure if you could fit an xhp 70.2 it would bump the lumens nicely:). Sure made a massive difference to an old bike light mod of mine.

Yeah I figured. However, I’m not in Germany nor am I subjected to those laws. I just like the dual profile beam.

Was considering that but I will need modification to the pcb or a pcb replacement.

Not an issue. I always carry multiple spare batteries. I have an MT09R mounted on the bike too…

You asked for a “Stvzo Bike Light” and StVZO stands for the German Straßenverkehrs-Zulassungs-Ordnung which is “Road Traffic Licensing Regulation”.

Ah yes, I guessed my usage of it is wrong. Let me rectify the title.

I used to live in Germany and simply bought a STVZO copliant bicycle light, mounting a flashlight onto the handlebar is equally not permitted because the lacking cut-off and beam wouldn’t be allowed like that. This 2000mAh light shall be legal to use in Germany.

Apologies, I forgot to read your location on your profile.
I only read the legal requirement and assumed that you or someone you know needs this in Germany.

Mount 3 of ‘em?

Ain’t kidding… much.

3× the output means more than 3× the heat, and that little beastie likely couldn’t handle it for very long before cooking or stepping down something fierce.
