Need help modifying this boost driver

So I’m trying to modify this driver but I’m not exactly sure what is going on. It’s boosting the voltage up to 5-7V (according to the description. I measure 5.2V/150mA) but also using a QX7136 I thought I’d be able to get a high current boost driver but it’s not able to get past 5V/250mA with the 6V LED I’m testing it on. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Here’s a high def photo. Note that the resistor has been changed from .33Ω to .12Ω

probably its simple boost chematics. but somehow using linear regulator for output stabilization?

Still new to this so I don’t know if that implies anything. What do I have to change to increase the voltage and current?

Also, does that mean I’m limited to the 6V the 7136 can handle? The driver manufacturer lists up to 7V for some reason.
