Thrunite TW10

I am excited to see Thrunite venture into the weapon mounted flashlight market with the TW10. This flashlight is a simple one mode light directed at the budget audience. For $50 its great when compared to Olight or other WML's for more than twice the price. The light features a cool white Osram P9 emitter, which I would say is about 6500k. Thrunite claims 900 lumens out of this small light.

The beam profile is floody which is good for indoor use and outside close quarters. Included in the package is a removable 1100 mah 18350. On the back of the light is a USB C port covered by a rubber flap for convenient charging. The only mode in the UI is either on or off. A quick press leaves the light on and if you hold the switch, it allows for momentary on.

The switch is really clicky and is located on each side of the light for easy access. A black screw is on the side of the flashlight to attach the light to the weapon rail. The package includes a glock and a 1913 adapter, USB C charging cord, and spare rubber cover. I had no issues attaching the light to the rail of my Ruger 10/22. It was very secure on the rail with no movement noticed. Overall it should be a solid budget option for an entry level WML.

Things I really like:

  • 900 lumen output
  • Floody smooth beam

Things I don’t like:

  • Wish it had multiple modes
  • The light needs to be removed from pistol in order to be charged
  • The side switches are a little small. I wish they were a little larger
