What's your most used/favorite tool beside flashlights?

Mine is my 7” WR vice grip but soon to be replaced with my 7” knipex cobra plier :cowboy_hat_face:

Picquic Stubby Multi Screwdriver

My Kershas knife and my Gerber oldstyle box cutter.

My most used favorite tool is… a Victorinox Alox money clip knife. It has a pen-knife blade, a mini file, and scissors. Then on the back side, there’s a clip for cash. So in essence, I use it daily. It holds my money in my left front pocket while a credit card holder rides in my right rear pocket. Never felt more comfortable with EDC pocket items using this setup.

This is how mine looks after 20 years of pocket riding:

I don’t handle this thing delicately. I’m rough on it. I just don’t care, because I know it’s rugged. I’ve even used the nail file for prying things, removing debris from grooves, even temp duty as a screwdriver. Not bent up after all that. The Alox looks like crap, but again—don’t care. The photo above shows what a new one looks side-by-side. Yep, got a backup (my last one, as I’d given away the 2 other spares I’d had). I mean to stock up again as this is my “carry for life” tool. LOVE IT.

Here’s a photo of it among other mini knives. You can see which one has the money clip back:

I’ve also at times ditched the cash holding and then just clipped it to my pocket using the money clip. Brilliant.

Since I got this Beast — I threw away all my brooms and rakes

i pocket carry a flat compact money clip with scissors, knife and file also, but my most used and favorite tool is a church key.

Knife and fork
Non food, scissors and utility knife.

Victorinox Tinker knife. I feel nekkid without it.

I like small to medium sized handheld powder actuated tools. I use them to prevent myself from having to go to the hospital for reconstructive surgery, when I step out onto the public street.

Probably my 18 v Dewalt hammer drill. It has driven thousands of screws.

magnifying glass.

Not my most used, but definitely a favourite, Bahco 31. Solid enough to wallop with a hammer or put a piece of scaffold pipe onto to turn a rusty nut, with the added bonus of a pipe grip. When I was plumbing on ships, this would be in my pocket daily.

My EnZo camp knife

Nice that. Enzo make some lovely, understated, and great value knives.

Thanks. Yes, these Enzo’s have fantastic steel, and understated like you say. No reason to spend huge money on some boutique knife. It’s hard to believe they are as inexpensive as they are. I mean, not chinese inexpensive, but I’d put this up against any $400 boutique knife of the same type

Opinel number 6. Super easy to sharpen and is fantastically cheap.

The “fixer” in my two-member household is actually my wife. She can fix almost everything. Just two days ago she put new glue to repair my walking shoes.

I use my big and very sharp scissors to unbox packages. And I have a tiny Swiss knife with scissors on my keychain, which I have used quite often while going out.

For most guys, that’s a very personal question. :open_mouth:
