What’s your EDC essentials?

There are a few items that nearly everyone agree belong to an EDC kit, such as:

*EDC flashlight, it helps eliminate dark situations.
*Pocket knife, a versatile tool, for cutting through, defending yourself.
*Watch, it can help make your days more efficient, also the delicate and beautiful decoration.
*Pens, great for taking notes no matter where you are or needing to sign documents.
*Multitool, common multitool functions include pliers, screwdrivers, bottle openers, scissors, and other cutting tools. It embodies core principles of EDC – utility, versatility, portability.
……
How about your EDC essentials? Welcome to share your great EDC combo! Smile

It’s a romantic idea carrying around a jangle of Instagram worthy pocket jewellery. For me it tends to be a couple of torches, keys, wallet and a cheap pocket knife that I’m not going to cry if it gets dirty, wet or scratched.

Edit: oh and a smartphone that keeps me connected to the internet, because carrying human history and cat pictures around is super addictive.

No pocket knife, no watch, no multitool, no jewelry for me. Two flashlights, cellphone, GoPro camera, 10mm, keys, wallet, pepper spray, pen.

Wallet, wristwatch, keys, knife, full-size flashlight, 2 keychain flashlights, slim nail clippers, whistle, keychain multi-tool, pepper spray, Vaseline, and handkerchief.

If I leave the house, smart phone and face mask.

I wear a watch, right now the Thrunite AAA on my keychain, sometimes the Nicore Tube, or the Olight AAA and carry my Swiss Army Knife I have had since 1981.

These are the regulars:

- Flashlight
- Knife
- Watch
- Wallet
- Phone
- Gun
- Pen
- Pad (often a pocket-sized Field Notes)
- Multi-tool
- Medical Supplies
- Either a Handkerchief, a Bandana, or a few folded-up paper towels

I like to have a small spray bottle with ethanol solution for general clean-up. Sadly, this is hard to fit with all my other EDC stuff. If the temperature isn’t too extreme, I’ll keep one in the car at least.

I don’t go out the door without a pack of gum, my cell phone, my keys, a small lipstick light, my SAK SwissChamp, my gun and my wallet.

leatherman micro, hardly ever use it
iphone 6 – old but it works

My basic EDC:

Not limited to:
- Cell phone: I prefer the affordable and reliable one
- Watch: I prefer a beater, such as Casio G-Shocks, Pro-Trek or similar models
- Wallet: A simple tri-fold one
- EDC pouch: To carry three of them
- Pliers-based multitools: I prefer Victorinox Swiss Tool Spirit XC
- Pandemic-related stuffs: 3-layered medical face mask and hand sanitizer

Getting to hate anything in my pockets anymore, or just wear shorts putzing around town, so I took to carrying a sling-bag as my murse. So lessee…

That go,comma knife, coupla pens, phone, SP32Av2, some usb cables, my papieren, keys, bux… that’s pretty much it.

If I’m actually wearing pants/shorts that won’t fall down if I put anything in a pocket, then my MH20, too.

It's just for dry lips.  :-)

I used to use Blistex before I moved to the desert, but Blistex doesn't cut it here.

The only thing that I know of that works for me is Vaseline.

vaseline

...

When I'm at home, I use the following because it's way cheaper per ounce.

Wallet, QSP Leopard knife, Samsung smart watch, Google Pixel 4XL, Apple iphone XR. I don’t normally carry a light cuz I have them stashed everywhere; every room of the house, desk at work, laptop bag, travel bag, glucose meter bag, all vehicles, garage, etc., but when I do carry a light, it’s either one of my Olight 16340 lights, or Lumintop EDC05.

This reminds me, I need to buy a spare QSP Leopard. I feel incomplete if it’s not in my pocket. It’s my fidget tool Big Smile

I just carry the first part, the second goes mostly on the backpack, and that is precisely because…I am a walker or public transportation user Wink
