So I just made the thread on Reddit, so this is a copy and paste. But I was talking with someone this week over there who had messaged Jack about the re-release of the E07 original. Here are some details I got from a response from Jack about it:
I was chatting in a thread with someone this week here on Reddit about it and now I can find that thread. Lol. so whoever you are, I got a response from Jacky about it- some details:
-It will be only 5mm longer than the original! (So still small which is awesome).-it will have a magnetic tail cap!-It will have other updates making it better, said Jacky. - it will be available in black and deep Red(yes!). - it will have a upgraded button over first version. - it will be available in a couple weeks!
Just a reminder- this is an update and remake of the original E07, not a change to the new E07x.
I can't wait!
Questions I asked Jacky- wil it have charging?, will it have RGB auxiliary LED's?. If I get anymore updates I'll let you know.
I didn’t know this was even happening but it’s pretty cool that it is. It’s a great light for the price.
And you should just pull the trigger on the Cooper E07 instead, it’s so classy. I have 2 and it’s my EDC. Obviously too chunky for most, but I can’t get enough if it.
Really? i had been wondering about it, but honestly had forgotten. and i didnt own the original until last week so i didn't know it was so much smaller than the new one ( i was worried an all copper one the size of the new e07x would be a TANK), but the original is so small, i could definitely edc it in copper, i used to edc the KR1 in copper which is essentially the same size light.

I don’t know how this buck component shortage is still going on for Jack, I have seen digi key selling 1000 lights worth of the buck driver components for cheap and that was months enough ago for it to have already reached china
for most things I do, if I don't need turbo mode for 30 seconds, then 450 lumen in that size light is probably more than I'd ever need. So ya, it is awesome. Anything where I'll need more light I'll grab the e12r.. how much more sustained lumens does someone neee from a light that's under 5 inches long? Especially when the beam and tint is perfect.
thats the other thing- the optic on the original is So Much Better than the new X version IMO. It's beam is much more useful
turbo isn’t efficient, 25 deg tir is the epitome of mediocre. I would rather they just scrap turbo for another 3 amps of buck driver
I like the 45 deg tir of rot66 for general use - flood with a bit of throw. 25 deg is too narrow with no throw either, 10 deg starts to be in useful throw territory still with some decent flood (just not up close) but still kinda fails in both. I could use the e07x for shooting coons, just the range is not too useful beyond 80 meters without turbo which won’t last long
