This is the tube you need. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003048085331.html The MT04 will not fit.

I'm interested too but shipping is crazy $$$ - bump the qty to 2 and US shipping goes from $8.50 to $28.50.

Guess if you order qty 1, it's the same cost as BG has it listed: https://www.banggood.com/26800-Battery-Tube-For-Astrolux-FT03-FT03S-LED-Flashlight,DIY-Extended-Body-Tube-For-Large-Capacity-Longer-Runtime-26800-Battery-p-1865528.html?rmmds=myorder&cur_warehouse=CN&ID=6287837

Think freeme had a $5 off coupon back in June/July timeframe. The FT03 tubes should fit: FT03 = MT35 Mini = MT70 Mini  -- I think??

freeme's deal on the FT03 w/26800 tube and batt: https://1thedeals.com/product/astrolux-ft03-xhp50-2-sst40-4300lm-narsilm-v1-3-usb-c-26800-flashlight-bundle/

we just need the deal in black/blue/green and with the SFN55.2 LED smile Facepalm

Here, great price: QB26800 6800mAh 3.7v Li-ion Flat Top Battery (alofthobbies.com)

Many have bought them from here, recommended.

CHEERS TOM!  Thanks for the recommendation! That's a third of the price of the 26650 5500mAH 30A Shockli cells I would have used AND here in CA!

Now, can anyone give me any insight as to where to source a 26800 battery tube for the MT70MINI?  Can I use the extension tube designed for the MT04 that Nealsgadgets.com carries?

THANKS!

Nope, see above - you might have missed it. Keep in mind Astrolux (most) are made by Mateminco, so many flashlight models are the same, just different model #'s/names. I got lights under both brands and everything is identical, swappable, etc. Unless the SFN55.2 version has some basic differences in the hosts, that's why I can't guarantee FT03 parts will work.

Banggood also has it but the link was not working so I deleted it. https://www.banggood.com/26800-Battery-Tube-For-Astrolux-FT03-FT03S-LED-Flashlight,DIY-Extended-Body-Tube-For-Large-Capacity-Longer-Runtime-26800-Battery-p-1865528.html? It has some coupons posted here. Second again on the SFN55.2 LED in two head sizes; FT03 and EA01.

Thanks Tom!

Unfortunately the SIX WEEK delay in shipping is an absolute deal breaker for me with AliExpress for an $8 tube...

Nealsgadgets.com carries these Mateminco brand 26800 tubes (in 3 colors: the blue I want!) for the same price and 34.5mm OD. I do a lot of business with them and their shipping from China is quite expedient and reliable. They are listed as being for the Mateminco MT04 but I'm really hoping for some flashlight LEGO magic to be possible.

Here's the link:

https://www.nealsgadgets.com/products/mateminco-26800-26980-tube-for-mt04?_pos=1&_psq=26&_ss=e&_v=1.0&variant=39385376915530

Any thoughts?

Very doubtful they will fit, and texas shooter says flat out they won't fit.

I emailed Neal before if he can get them - I'm interested too, but may take a day or more to hear back from him.

Agree, Neal has been great with me, shipping is pretty good too. Ali has been a disaster lately over the same period Neal's shipping has been good.

I have an MT01 w/26800 extension and FT03 w/26800 extension and they are not compatible - different threading, different lengths.

All Right,

I see the Astrolux FT03 tubes on Banggood and the blue is in stock, estimated delivery by end of this month. The link:

https://m.banggood.com/26800-Battery-Tube-For-Astrolux-FT03-FT03S-LED-Flashlight,DIY-Extended-Body-Tube-For-Large-Capacity-Longer-Runtime-26800-Battery-p-1865528.html?rmmds=detail-middle-buytogether-auto&cur_warehouse=CN&act_poa=POA8712188

The handle knurling pattern on these tubes is identical between the FT03s and MT70 mini. It seems the proper way.

The MT04 tubes at Neal's have a radically different pattern of handle knurling yet appear thread compatible. Tom, are you certain these WONT WORK, other than the aesthetics?

I think I'll take a chance on the BG FT03s tube...

Thanks again!

Many Thanks Tom for making it crystal clear, and for dispatching an email to Neal.

Best Regards my friend

I can't be certain of anything, including if I put on matching sox this morning... smile

These models are insane - I don't have an MT04 but it appears the MT01 is the same size and style, so I'd bet on it, plus texas shooter is pretty good with this stuff as well - I'd trust him more than myself...

I have both, they are not compatible. Neither the head or tail cap on either.

The FT03 26800 Battery Tube fits the Mateminco MT70 MINI. It also fits the copper & brass versions of the FT03.

Banggood link

Use Fin17’s code to bring it down to $11: FIN5528

Has anybody found another source for the 26800s,preferably in Europe? Shipping cost is prohibitive.

Have received my MT70 Mini today, enjoyed the nice donuthole free beam, but when testing turbo i think:
Well, where is it? This is never ever Turbo.

Made an factory reset, cleaned the Tube and Contacts and no change.

Ok, compare turbo with an ceiling bounce to another light:

FT03 XHP50.2 5700K 540lux
MT70 SFN55.2 370lux

Used the same QB6800 Battery in both lights, that ist really, really disappointing… Crying

Any idea what ist wrong with the MT70?

Is the battery mostly charged? If so then ramp the light to high. At high double tap to compare turbo increase. The lower the cells charge the less turbo stands out.

FT03 is NasilM where ramps to turbo. Anduril doesn't by default ramp to turbo. So it says NarsilM in the OP, but maybe it's not?

Ah, the fog is clearing… Cool

First post states NarsilM, same as the FT03. Never thougt it could be wrong.

I have pulled the Matemico manual out of the box (which is for an MT90 mini with SBT90.2) and it is for Anduril.

double click + double click go to turbo…

Ok, going to RTFM for changing this…*g

I think their all Anduril. Got a question, how are you liking the 26800 cell and where did you find yours?

This behavior means that the light probably has Anduril 2.

Same here. The box had manual for MT90 mini with SBT90.2.  I showed the light to a friend, he liked it a lot, ordered one, and same thing. His light came with manual for MT90 mini with SBT90.2.

RTRM. read the right manual.

Well, anyway, the MT70 Mini SFN 55.2 is one of my favorite lights. A very nice combination of beam power performance and beam profile for its size and cost.

So far, I haven’t had a Mateminco/Astrolux flashlight that uses Anduril 2 yet (the only exception for “Astrolux” brand flashlight with Anduril 2 would be the EC06, but this appears to be a Sofirn-manufactured light instead of Mateminco).

Most Astrolux/Mateminco flashlights that use Anduril (based on my test) have the factory reset function (hold button while tightening the battery tube), but do not have the 15-clicks version check function, indicating a relatively older Anduril version. (these include: MF01-Mini, MF01S, FT03S SBT90.2, HL01, EA02 models)

The Astrolux/Mateminco models that use Anduril, and with version check would be these: EA01, EA01S, FT02S, which has Anduril 1, version 2019-12-05 (this firmware version is not listed in Toykeeper’s Anduril repository, so it could be a self-compiled version by Mateminco).

Got them from Aloft Hobbys. The lights (EA01S, FT02 and FT03) lay definitve better in Hand with the longer Tube. More capacity is always good...:)

After reading some threads, is it possible that the setting “2C to turbo from off” must be set before compiling the firmware?
