Weird issue with D4V2, Anduril 2.

D4V2, 219b SW45K, Anduril 2 w/FW 2021-05-07

Went to use the light after a few days and it would only turn on to low, and the AUX LEDS were on. Figured out the light had reset and was in simple mode. I then checked the battery, a Samsung 25R, which I had just charged, and it was at 3.68v. Edit: 2.68V……Popped a fresh 25R in and got everything back up and working.

How would the light discharged over a couple days, when it was off? I know it was off, because the light would have been noticed being on. Even if the light was on moonlight, which was set to floor/1, it would have taken forever to drain the battery. And it was only a few days, since I put a fresh battery in, and with very little use on the light.

Does Anduril reset if a battery drains too far?

So far, I have let the light sit with a freshly charged battery and I have been checking the voltage with my DMM and the voltage isn’t budging, so no noticeable parasitic drain.

If anyone has any ideas, because it worries me that it discharged so quickly without being on. Which makes no sense to me.

3.68 is about halfway discharged no? So even if it does reset when the battery is discharged it shouldn’t have happened at that voltage

Yeah, that is what is so weird. Literally the light worked perfectly, then when I tried it a few days later, it had fully reset to defaults, simple mode and the battery was at 2.68v. Edit…it was at 2.68V.

Is it possible the buttons got pressed while it was in a drawer or something?

Nope…It was sitting on a folded up microfiber cloth, by itself. I also ordered the D4V2 with the raised switch retaining ring.

Made a mistake in my post….Battery was at 2.68V, not 3.68V.
