Astrolux A03 (14500) - SFS80 LED - Is there a groupbuy? Coupon?

I just saw this in an advertisement on blf homepage, interested in checking it out because it has the SFS80 led..

Im wondering :

is there a magnet in the tailcap?

Does the switch have a light in it?

Anyone who knows, or has ordered one, please chime in?

I don’t think that there is a magnet in the tailcap if it is not mentioned. The switch could have a light in it, it looks half transparent.

my bad..

No problem. It can happen to anyone to miss a thread on BLF but better ask twice than buy a flashlight without coupon. Wink It is good to point out which things are not clarified in the description.

SFS80 is very similar in size to XHP35 HI. So it’s really hard to call it either. In a small OP reflector, it will result in a fairly ‘floody’ beam with large hotspot. There is potential for this emitter to be a good thrower, but 14500 won’t push it hard enough to get it into a thrower class. 2mm² or smaller for 14500 ‘throwers’IMO and SMO or clear TIRs.

This light is very similar of Manker E11 as design and UI . I have old clone of it Utorch UT01 and this is of least used light in my collection. I think that Astrolux have better design but UI is awfull.

I physical design is oddly attractive to me. But yeah, the UI is a hard pass.

One nerd-ass comment about it’s proportions.. (pleaseexcuseme.. clears throat) is that this light nails the cube of the golden ratio.

Okay. I’m leaving
