I'm leaving for Europe on vacation for a few weeks.
I had an idea... I told my wife that I was going to bring one of my little flashlights and take pictures of it in front of some notable destinations/sites (ie. Eiffel Tower, Musee du Louvre, Notre Dame de Paris, the London Bridge, the Vatican, the Colosseum, Patheon, Piazza Navona, Venice waterways, etc.) to sort of document my trip. I thought it would be fun, for me and to share with the guys on the forum.
She laughed and screamed, "OMG, Geek Alert!"
I guess it is kind of a geeky idea but I think I'm still going to do it!
That's a good idea. Even if ppl can take a picture of their favorite flashlight of where they're from, that would be cool.
kreisler - I'll be bringing a sk68 clone along with me. It's small, uses AA in case I have problem charging the li on, and I'll be leaving it in London for my cousin's husband before coming home.
Don & janko.hrasko - I would love to go to your neck of the woods but it's a short trip planned so far. A few days here, and and few days there. Paris > Venice > Florence > Rome > London > home and back to the grind.
Hopefully the weather improves. I heard Europe had a cold snap recently.
I just got back from my vacation a week in the Florida Keys and I was given a 3 flashlight limit by my significant other and all of my lighting needs were met with just three. I wish I would have known about the "Roaming Gnome Flashlight Project" because I could have got some good picture. I put all my Lion batteries in my checked bag and kept my EDC in my pocket and I had no trouble with the TSA Nazi Regime.
