Oveready e series head mod?

Hey guys,

I have an e series compatible Oveready head with the lux-rc engine. Has anyone modded this head with a different driver or cracked one open?

I dont like the lux-rc engine for a couple of reasons, I find it finicky and much prefer something like the h17fx. But I love the machining and form factor of the head.

Ok, I found some pics from another member of the head opened up, how exactly did you adapt this setup to a regular driver and led mcpcb? I cant wrap my head around it.

I didn't use any other driver except Lux-RC. I like it a lot tbh.

But you need to to drill a hole in the centre of that head where you can pass the wires for triple MCPCB. You also need to remove the bottom pos/neg board with a spring and rework the contact area if you wish to install a new driver.
