Where to buy an Olight I3S?

Looking to find a replacement I3S as mine has bit the bullet. Unfortunately it seems Olight no longer make this light and no one seems to sell it. Does anyone know of a vendor anywhere? I can’t believe it’s no longer made, the I3S was a terribly effective and practical light, and it is the perfect size for a neck lanyard inside a shirt.

Can anyone perhaps also suggest a replacement 3-mode light that starts in medium mode? I’m pondering on the D.N.Q but not sure what they would be like in comparison - plus they are only 2-mode. I have an I3E but that’s only one mode, and I also have an Astrolux but that’s a tiny bit too big. So the hunt is one for something else if necessary.

All suggestions gratefully received….

They’re dead, Jim.

I’ve looked for a few years and have only seen one, or two, pop up on EBay and usually for a lot of scratch.

I have a blue one that I like and wish that I would have bought more at $20!

Fenix E01 V2.0 Starts in low mode though but easily cycled.

The i3S was an underrated gem in the AAA light category. The regular i3 was pumping out 80 lumens, but the i3S hit 120 lumens. I still wince when I think about the chance I’d had to pick up a few on sale, but lost track and missed out. I looked and looked… for a couple years… then just gave up.

Anyway, for substitutes the Lumintop Thrunite Ti3 v2 is a terrific flashlight. Occasionally they go on sale. I picked up 3 for like $6.50 each. If you’d rather not have a reflector and prefer TIR, the Jetbeam Jet-U is a very nice AAA… although the tint is a bit cool for my taste. But the host is very nicely done. One of the more handsome looking ones around. I like that very dark bronze anodizing too.

EDIT: Holy moly… WTH? $145, for a brass one? That’s kind of insane, considering how far LED tech has come since the i3S came out. Just imagine what else you could buy for that $145…

Yep - you and me both, Chris. I wonder if they’ll ever come back with something similar. I am sure the I3T is a nice light, but it seems so long….

Thanks for the ideas, I’ll go and have a look….much appreciated

My Astrolux does that, and it’s a pain to be honest. Sigh

I finally bought a triple AAA D.Q.G to replace my Olight. I am very pleasantly surprised by how nice it is, and have already decided two modes is better than three! Any problems I should be aware of?

I’m surprised you went with that… only producing 70 lumens max. LINK.
I don’t know what shipping costs are like for you being in France… but BangGood as the Jetbeam Jet-U for $14.99.

I haven’t tried the Lumintop Ti3 v2, but I’m liking the Lumintop EDC01 for 1xaaa. Twist on like the olight i3e, but has 3 modes.

Not sure what it’s default starting mode is because it does have memory, so mine usually starts in low because that’s usually where I left it. And a quick twist back off and on again sends it to high from there. Not sure what the output is supposed to be of the top of my head, but I’m pretty sure high was 100+ lumen. Low is probably around 15.

Amazon? Amazon.com

There is no Lumintop Ti3 v2

xevious is talking about the Thrunite Ti3 v2

Quite right. Sleep deprivation. Should’ve noticed that. I have a Ti2, and lumintop edc01 and must’ve got them muddled in my mind. If Ti3 has multiple modes (checked Amazon page: “Output and run time: Firefly: 0.04 Lm(115h), Low: 12 Lm(6.3h), High: 120Lm(0.5h), Strobe:120Lm(1 hour)” so yeah need to buy one :D) I just don’t like single mode lights. Unless they are single purpose lights, of course.

Thank you. Man… egg is not only on my face, but has solidified. :person_facepalming: I corrected original post…

I have both the Lumintop EDC01 and the Thrunite Ti3 v2. The EDC01 feels like it has nicer build quality with useful tail cap magnet, but the NW Ti3 has a nicer tint.

I’m a runtime fella more than a beam blaster, so the D.N.Q is okay by me. We’ll see how it lasts. It’s the right size for inside a shirt, without a doubt, and it seems to be built like a tank. If I fall out of love with it I shall try your Jetbeam suggestion, but I’m happy enough at the moment. Apart from the €10 customs duty, which I thought was bloody steep! I’ve never paid any duty for small lights from China before, so was quite shocked at that.

I just got four of these in today, off of Ebay, for $10 each, free shipping.

Two green, two red, one each for my sister, who’s Fenix LD01 twisty died and they’re hard to find.

The iTP is almost identical to my i3S, except it has no real firefly mode.

If anybody is interest, just search ‘iTP A3’

If I’m not mistaken, iTP and Olight were joined in the beginning, so that’s why things are similar.

Chris

I have two ITP A3 EOS’s that are somewhere around 10 years old. Both still work great. I have even used a 10440 in them a few times back when 10440’s couldn’t handle more than a few amps. How times have changed, great little light though.
I prefer the Thrunite Ti3 v2 for easy of modding to change brightness levels and led.
