I've never seen this Kershaw knife before.

Kershaw knives usually have a four digit number on their blade, but this one just has "AUTO."

I did some Google searches, but I couldn't figure it out.

What knife is this?

Seems like a launch 8 copy. Blade finish looks very rough

Yea that’s super fake. The price alone should indicate that.

There are obvious differences.

I'll avoid it because I think you're right about it being a "copy."

I might buy a copy someday, but only if there is plenty of positive feedback from other owners.

The easiest way to know if if’s a clone is to try and find a clone. If you can, just buy from an AD. Benchmade, Kershaw/ZT, and Spyderco have just about all their popular models bootlegged.

That’s the “shaky videotaped from the movie theater” copy of that knife.

As mentioned, it’s a faux Kershaw.

AliExpress has some fake knives that are good quality for their price (notable Jufules), and some that are of very poor quality even for their price. I’d imagine most eBay fakes will fit into the latter category. Personally I have a Launch 9 clone I got for $20 with good action that cuts pretty well though the steel seems pretty cheap, and a beautiful titanium scale Paramilitary 2 clone for$50 that I carry most days for cutting boxes. EDIT:

On second thought, I still wouldn't try it.

Because it's a clone, I don't know how good the heat treatment of the blade is.

I don’t know about 5Cr13 but I have plenty of experience with 5Cr15. However good the heat treatment, it’s still not going to hold a very good edge.
