Conspicuity lights? What is good these days so I'm seen in a parking lot?

I'm looking for a lightweight conspicuity light to clip to the back of a cap or similar application for use in dark parking lots and similar places now that the evening comes on so early.

I have tried some different light options from bicycle shops but, found they were not durable, used batteries that were hard to find, and didn't last long with fresh cells.

What's good these days?

TIA, Sid

In a dark parking lot, any light clipped to any pocket or belt or other clothing pointed straight down and putting light on the ground anywhere near your feet is going to make you visible from all directions.

But then the Martians will come and take me away :frowning:

Ideally, I'd like to have something above the surface level for people distracted behind the wheel to have a better chance of seeing me before they are on top of me. That should also improve visibility from a distance.

The AAA light I had clipped to my ballcap aimed down at my back reflected off my white shirt pretty good. I would like something more effective than that though.

I wonder about something like the Manker E02 "AAA" right-angle light.

Light coloured clothing helps.
Reflective clothing helps if its cars you are worried about. You can get reflective strips or fabric patches.

As for lights anything AAA will have poor battery life. They are just small, low power batteries. AA is better. If you want lithium ion you will get very good life.
