ANDURIL2 PROBLEM

I bought an FW3x that had anduril and everything functioned perfect when I would activate turbo it would blast away and then after a couple seconds would drop down a little bit and everything was perfect but then I reflashed it with Anduril2 and the problem started. Anytime I activated turbo after 3 maybe 4 seconds it would very quickly turn off. There would be about five or six large steps and it would turn all the way off. I’ve talked to some other people and they tell me that the driver is known for having a large step down and it’s a problem but it only happened after I reflashed it and it wouldn’t just jump to a low level it would shut off completely. I tried reflashing it again with an older version of the firmware and the problem went away it just acted normal and so I reflashed again with the latest firmware and the turbo problem came back. I’ve tried messaging toy keeper but no response and I am just hoping that someone knows code and could look at the source code or knows what the problem might be somewhere else I have set the thermal all the way to 70°, I have tried a variety of things and I cannot figure out why with the latest firmware of Anduril 2 my turbo shuts all the way off. I am super frustrated I don’t use turbo that often but when I do I don’t want it to shut down and I don’t want to just flash an old firmware on there because I actually use some of the newest features. Could someone please help me I’m even willing to pay someone if they know how to read code and could help me figure out the problem.

Probably the battery that you use has high internal resistance. That means when high current is drawn, the voltage sag will be so big, that the driver thinks it’s out of juice. Maybe A2 has different voltage calibration than A1, so it thinks the battery level is even lower and shuts the light off.

There is a voltage calibration menu in A2, you can try to increase voltage read out.

Long term solution: use newer high drain battery.

good info
I would use Anduril 1 until Anduril 2 gets fixed

fwiw, Anduril has many different versions for different brands and models of lights… maybe check if you used the correct version for your light?

I hope you find a solution that meets your needs.

These large steps usually mean it's low voltage protection kicking in. Check battery voltage with 3 clicks and compare that to the actual battery voltage. Maybe with the newer firmware it reads a wrong value. But if it's only a few tenths of a volt from the truth, you could use the voltage calibration with 7H from batt check (check anduril 2 manual). Also make sure you really got the right firmware cause really the calibration factor shouldn't change from one build to the next. What file did you flash?

I’ve tried so many batteries and again it’s only with the newest firmware the older versions work just fine right now I have the 8-25 flash down there and it seems to work just fine

That was something I considered as well so I used my multimeter checked my batteries checked and checked it against the flashlight and it seemed to be about a 10th off so I calibrated it didn’t seem to have an issue but when I flash the 08-25 firmware which is the second to newest the problem went away everything is fine it’s just the latest firmware that shuts my light off from turbo

Right now I have the lume1 08-31 hex flashed which has some of the newer features like ramp speed and no ramp after Moon and it doesn’t affect turbo it just acts normal so hopefully the newest firmware will get tweaked. I’ve tried reaching out to toy keeper but no luck.
