WTS: [UK] Custom Convoy S21A Luxeon V triple with Led4Power LD-B4 FET driver

For sale is my S21A which I have turned into a very high powered Luxeon V 4000K triple. The tint is lovely, much nicer than the XPL or SST20. The full specs are as follows:

  • Convoy S21A host (either green or grey, I can swap it over).
  • 3 x Luxeon V 4000K emitters.
  • Led4Power high performance MosX MCPCB with low resistance FET and temperature sensor installed.
  • Led4power LD-B4 driver with many programmable modes, current limits, shortcuts etc. It also uses an external FET on the MCPCB to keep heat away from sensitive parts.
  • Solid copper spacer made by Kiriba-ru, soldered directly to the pill for optimum heat transfer.
  • Carclo triple optic.
  • Bypassed springs.

I don’t have anything to measure the output with but I gather you can expect at least 5000 lumens from a build such as this. It’s currently in a slightly scratched grey host but I can swap it over to a basically pristine (it’s been in my pocket a couple of times) green host if you like.

I’m asking £60 but I might be open to offers. This is quite a special light that I’ve put a lot of work into.

This looks impressive. Don’t see many Luxeon V flashlights. I’m tempted but will give it a pass.

FET on the MCPCB? I haven’t seen that done before.

Yeah the FET/MCPCB/driver placement is all Led4Power’s invention. It works well, especially for high current regulated modes which would normally produce too much heat in the regulator for the driver to handle. This one goes up to 12A regulated, plus direct drive.

I’m very open to offers; it seems such a shame to have it sat in a drawer not being used!
