AA/14500 Zoomie with USB C charging?

I’m after something like the Meco XPE-Q5 but with USB C input for charging. I’ve spotted the Coast HX5 but it seems to only be Micro USB input.

Ideally the switch/button would be mounted on the end and tail standing should still be possible but 14500/AA and USB C are the important required features.

Any recommendations please?

Doubt it exists, because you know some idiot is gonna try to charge an AA alkaleak.

The Coast HX5 exists. The only reason I’m looking for something else is because it’s Micro USB input not USB C.

Oh, I believe you. Ain’t familiar with the light, though.

If this is the "Coast HX5" you are referring to:

https://coastportland.com/products/hx5

which appears to be the same as this flashlight listed on AmazonUK:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/COAST-CUTLERY-HX5-Focusing-Flashlight/dp/B00TNOSF3I

Then the charging port is "not" on the flashlight itself, but is instead "built-in to the 14500 battery" that is offered on the webpage for the "Coast HX5" as one of it's "ACCESSORIES" and described on this webpage:

https://coastportland.com/products/zx210?pr_prod_strat=copurchase&pr_rec_pid=5878483976264&pr_ref_pid=1589491630152&pr_seq=uniform

Yeah, that makes more sense, and what I was guessing might be the case (like the Wuben E03 or E05 or whatever it is).

Which would probably not be as exciting or dangerous when compared to the outcome for the unsuspecting "pipe bomb" victim who recharges "non-rechargeable lithium primary CR123A" cells inside of the "Coast HX5R" which has a USB-A charging connector built in to the tail cap of the flashlight (unless the "HX5R" or "CR123A primaries" contain safety features that I am unaware of):

and the AmazonUS listing for HX5R:

https://www.amazon.com/Coast-COAST-Rechargeable-Flashlight-21593/dp/B07ZGG3J3J/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

and the AmazonUK listing for HX5R:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Coast-21593COAST-Rechargeable-Flashlight-Compatible/dp/B07ZGG3J3J

EDIT:

The description for the "Coast HX5R" at https://coastportland.com/products/hx5r states:

"The Dual Power system allows the light to run on our custom rechargeable battery and a standard C123 alkaline battery."

I have never heard of a "C123 alkaline battery", but maybe the "custom rechargeable battery" listed at https://coastportland.com/collections/batteries/products/z550 is designed in a proprietary way so that it is the only battery that the HX5R will recharge due to its physical characteristics making the light safe.

EDIT #2:

Found a manual for the "Coast HX5R" at https://www.batteribyen.dk/media/blfa_files/HX5R_Manual.pdf which states the following:

So the "Coast HX5R" is designed safely and I apologize for questioning the safety of this light.

I hope you have fun here, AlmostSneezed!

(I know you've been here for a while, but I never greeted you.)

Also, brilliant username.

Ohhhhhh, that can’t be good.

I could not find directions for the "Coast HX5R" on the web to determine if users are warned about the dangers of recharging CR123A primary batteries or if the engineering design of the HX5R when used with CR123A primaries prevents any adverse consequences from occurring if this accidentally happens.

Even if there was not an explosion and the battery only vented while being charged, it would be harmful to breath any of those fumes.

Unno, “regular” (trying to not say “standard”) ’123s are 3V Li cells, not 1.5V alkaleaks, neither of them rechargeable.

That’s where “P60” (6V) and “P90” (9V) drop-ins come from, whether 2- or 3 ’123s in the tube.
