Acebeam L18 Limited Edition

I’m new, didn’t see a category exclusively for pictures. Not a good reviewer but I want to share a pic of my just arrived spectacular: The Acebeam L18 in Limited Edition ‘Army Purple Camo’. I also wanted to say thanks to websellers Andrew and Amanda for this incredible flashlight and for their exemplary customer service. I ordered late on Friday so I missed their regular USPS drop/pickup. Surely wasn’t expecting them to ring up FedEx to rush such a small order! I think as a first time customer they decided to demonstrate their business ethic in a spontaneous act of customer care. Unbelievable. Have a feeling many here are familiar with the Andrew and Amanda site as well as their Amazon store yet I could not refrain from sharing my experience. They have lots of good lights and I’ll be getting many more. I’m kinda stuck on how to describe this paint job. The first thought is “it’s beautiful” then I think it’s a bit garish. Heck, that’s what it is - it’s garish beautiful.

I like it! Kinda looks like it got dropped into an oily parking lot puddle.

I’ve placed a couple orders with A&A and have been very pleased, too. :+1:

Yes indeed, goshdogit, I get it - one o’ them shimmery purpley oil puddles on tarmac!

I don’t usually like garish but in this case that finish really grabs me and the L18 looks like a nice light. I don’t have much use for dedicated throwers where I live or I’d be very interested.

I lived in St. Mary and Lafourche back in the 80’s. I sometimes wish I’d stayed there.

When it grabs at ya’ you must grab back! There’s some spill, just checked it, walk the dog - no problem. I’m new to throwers myself and find that the added reach just gives you more confidence in the dark outdoors. But yes they are definitely an outdoor thing. I saw it on Amazon all dressed up like that and the other lights in my collection could not be without it. Lol. Funny thing is you enjoy the light more….in the LIGHT for crying out loud. Study it hard over at A&A, there’s that ‘make offer’ feature - that’ll grab at you too.

After the late August thing I wish I’d stayed over there in N Dallas!

I have the L18, though not in that fascinating finish! Great choice. I love Acebeam stuff, seemingly very high quality, great hand feel and performance. One click access to turbo is definitely a bonus! :)

Yes sir Xyrium, I agree, the L18 is a great light no matter what finish. After the L18, went on a Acebeam mini-binge! Got the L17 from Jody at Killzone, just had to have that ‘oak’? camo. I was also intrigued by the descriptor of ‘silent tailswitch’. And it’s as they said, totally silent with a buttery smooth feel - astonishing! We pine for something unique in a design - no matter how small or simple. Of the dozens of lights I have only the L17 sports this type of switch. Worth every penny. The L35 with battery from Acebeam store at Amazon is priced reasonable for such quality of workmanship. Not to mention it boasts 5000 lumens throwing a perfect flood of light. Beautiful.

Also: this ‘spinning organizer’ has six ball bearings. Turns with a finger. I place a small plastic bowl in the center for some separation. Ideal if you like your lights by your armchair.

Very nice indeed. I've considered the L35 several times, because for practical purposes, I don't need another thrower, but I wasn't sure if the L35 would be floody enough.

Great job showing it! Andrew and Amanda is a great store. I’ve used them before. They have some really good deals, too!
