EDC 18650 XML Flooder

Okay, I admit it, I think I'm a flashaholic now.

I know it and I can live with it. :D

Having that excuse, I'm searching a nice single 18650 XML Flooder with Hi - Mid - Lo modes. No strobes and stuff.

I've read a lot about the solarforce l2-whatever being the best but I also read about weird stuff because of forward-clickys and so on. The blue L2P is REALLY sexy, but from my understanding, a forward-clicky might confuse the driver and make mode changing pretty complicated?

Then, what drop-in to get? Manafont, KD.. I dont really care about battery runtime, I want output. Or maybe there is a flashlight out there I wouldnt have to put together?

Um yeah.. hopefully someone can help me get along with my addiction. :)

So long

Solarforce L2

Manafont 3 mode T6 dropin

Done .

You can't go wrong with an Ultrafire UF-2100 for about $15. Super bright floody high, very nice low (I have the 5 mode model) and perfect memory. It's tough to beat that light for the money.

S-Mini in XM-L

Much easier to carry than a Solarforce, great quality, reverse clicky, long run-time, neutral tint.

Out of those, I still prefer a solarforce because I dont want my flashlights to roll away.

Still I'm worried about the forward clicky, in one of the big threads on that topic I read that it works fine with some dropins and that its total crap with others.. could it be easily replaced in the blue L2P or do I have to pick another?

i have the uf-2100 and love it, if you want the uf-2160 have high/mid/low bur is 20$

Save the $5 and buy a SF clip - super handy and no more rolling https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/5479

+1 First one that came to mind for me.

Dave - what is the flashlight you use as your avatar? Thanks for the link. I have the Yezl Z1, didn't realize the SF clip would work like that.

~ Also Dave

You can put a clip on the S-mini to keep it from rolling, but I find that clips are more annoying than flashlights that roll away.

That's my Eagletac D25C Mini - nice, tiny little thing. I posted a review on it last November. The Yezl Z1 is identical to the UF2100 with the exception of the driver...3 modes, no memory, no blinkies. It's nice but not worth double the cost of the 2100.

FYI: I ordered the blue L2P with reverse clicky and the manafont dropin. Seemed to be the best choice for me.

Thanks for your support!

Congrats…now what’s your second light going to be?
There’s no backing out now!

So far, I have all my wishes fullfilled. Each one cheap flood-to-throw with aspheric lense XP-E/XP-G, UF980L. And the blue L2P + MF dropin coming.

I might invest in an XML headlamp soon, but for now, I think those are too expensive.

And I have a little DIY going on, I want to put an XP-E in an old (like.. from world war two) made in germany flashlight just for the lulz. :D
