TH10 has gone to heaven - where to next?

So. Looking for some help and recommendations.

My beloved Thrunite TH10 v2 has hit the dust. Looking for a replacement.

I use mine to spot wildlife - both large and small. These days I use it more so on my night walks to spot and photograph wildlife.

Have also started using it to help me nail focus for macro photography for much smaller critters.

I’ve looked at (on paper):

Armytek Wizard C2 Pro
Thrunite TH30
Olight Perun 2 (I think these run a propriety battery - not a fan as I run other lights and like packing spare 18650s)
Skilhint H04 and H300

Happy to spend up to $140ish AUD. Of course less the better. I guess I’m after throw not flood - happy to take advice on light temperature.

Thanks in advance guys.

The wizard C2 pro as well as all other armytek headlights uses a beaded lens that produces a very wide smooth beam pattern with no discernible hotspot. It will sustain over 600 lumens. If you want a discernible hotspot and more throw then you do not want a beaded lens.

I’d say Skilhunt H300

Thrunite TH30 V.2 And maybe replace LED to GT FC40 from Simon . Zebralight , Acebean H30?

Good to know - thanks.

I’m starting to lean that way I think….

Prefer not to mod - what’s wrong with the TH30 out of the box?

Do you mean the Zebra Light H600? I’ve not looked at the AceBeam H30 - what makes it a good candidate?

Thanks for the replies guys.

I’d say TH30 over H300. TH30 has more throw and better run times. I own one and it’s my go-to light. It is heavy, and has a very awkward UI, but I’ve yet to find anything else with its combo of throw, neutral (or warmer) tint, form factor (ie 1x18650 headlamp) and run time. If you can live with less throw than the TH30 I’d go for Zebralight H600C Mk IV over skilhunt. I’ve owned several iterations of skilhunt headlamps and always thought they were way over-praised.
