annular LED light module for ceiling fan

Hi all I’m trying to find a replacement annular LED light module for my ceiling fan (Arlec DCF2030 with integrated 12W LED sold/used in Australia), shown in the picture. It is with ugly looking 5000-6500K white lights hence I want to find something 2200-3000K.
Can anyone point me to any keywords to search in ebay or aliexpress? I can’t seem to find any or I didn’t try hard enough. The module looks to take 36V DC power. The diameter is about 14cm (5.5”).

Also if I can’t find any, I do have some “LEE FILTERS 205 SHEET 1/2 C.T.” that I bought from Boaz here. What is a normal/safe way to apply the lee filters to this kind of light module? Thanks.

Can always reflow ’em…

I dreaded this answer but yeah maybe this is my only way out to get a quality high CRI warm lights in my bedroom without replacing the ceiling fan.

Speaking of it, the spec says it’s 12W, and I measured 36V at the cables. There are 12 LEDs. Are they 3V LEDs in series with total 12W power so each one consumes 1W (current being about 330mA each)? What LEDs should I be looking at then? No experience of LED DIY or buying bare LEDs at all.

No idea what those LEDs might be, whether 3030s or 5050s (3mm vs 5mm squares).

But yeah, 12 in series for “36V”, typically current-regulated instead of just applying A Voltage.

A lot of places might have issues delivering to Oz, but I think Cutter is The Big Name down under?

Maybe some compatriots might visit to give you more applicable advice. I could suggest The Perfect LEDs, but that’d mean nothing if you couldn’t get them or if they’d cost a fortune to ship.

One idea might be to look at LED bulbs in the color temp you want (may or may not be good CRI), and see if they’re similar, then transplant the chips.

Try LED Ceiling Light retrofit in the search box and then go to the upper right hand corner and change “best match” to “price plus shipping lowest”. That will bring up the annular retrofit kits that include the driver which may be inside the fan box where the switch is located on your fan. The hard part is finding one with the color you want. Most don’t get that specific other than listing warm white or cool white. Example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/275142863283 It took me about 3 minutes to find this listing and below it you will see a bunch of alternatives.

Thank you for the suggestion. After digging a while I still can’t ensure it will come with the correct color that I want. I just put some 1/2 CT lee filters on it and it softens the harsh cool white light a bit but the apparent CRI looks bad. I guess I will use a floor lamp with a 90 CRI bulb for now and just not use the ceiling fan light.
