S2+ with CSLNM1.23 red light driver options.

I recently just got my S2+ with red LED in the mail. It has five groups, but the only settings are variations of 40, 100, and strobe. I’m looking for a driver that’s capable of doing moonlight mode with the CSLNM1. 23. If I’m not mistaken that LED requires a buck converter to drop the voltage down to 2.5 volts, and I’m unable to find any drivers that meet that specification.

If there’s no options available, I would be willing to switch to one of the Cree red, or SST20-DR LED’s.

Any advice on what driver, or new LED / driver combo I would need would be a huge help! Thanks in advance.

I’m also curious about ths. Could you take a different buck driver and adjust the sense resistors to change the output voltage?

I don’t see why that wouldn’t work.

I’ve never attempted reflow before. I’m pretty decent with a soldering iron, but am not sure if I could do a resistor that size. I guess there’s always a good first time to learn.

I have an extra red osram, sst20-dr (red), and another red LED that I can’t remember off the top of my head coming from Simon right now. I also got a 7135x3 driver, and I intend to take off an additional 7135 or two, and see if I can run them with that. I also ordered a Cree red/white/blue/green led and driver, it’d be pretty cool to have a four-colored S2+ if I can’t get the red working to my satisfaction.

I’m building the light for walking around in the woods, and I use a very dim red light just to see around my feet. I also carry a brighter white light with me, so I couldn’t care less if the red light isn’t very bright on high.
