We are pleased to announce that we launched a new brand CSTEBOKE selling on Amazon US in order to meet the growing demand for various lighting needs. Currently we have two products in stock. One is the bike light combined with throw and flood, and the other is an EDC flashlight CSTEBOKE SC31T SE. CSTEBOKE SC31T SE, which is upgraded from Sofirn SC31T but uses LH351D LED 90 High CRI.

Vivi was assigned to manage our new store. Some of you may have known Vivi for some time. She has been responsible for Amazon AU store and Amazon JP store since late 2019. And she also managed our Amazon CA store for a while. Vivi may be reached at sofirnjp@gmail.com if you have any questions or suggestions.

Now the new store is running a total 40% OFF (10% OFF coupon+30% off code) for any purchase. Limited codes per day. Leave your comment or email Vivi to get the code if you are interested. We do hope you will use the code and enjoy the lights.

Sofirn and CSTEBOKE will continue to serve you the best we can.

Thanks for sharing! With your EDC flashlights, consider including a deep carry clip. From my perspective, that’s an important feature for an EDC light.

Sofirn, I think you guys are great, and I think it’s awesome you are trying out a new line with new branding. However… that name, that name is absolutely terrible. Sofirn is memorable, has a nice ring to it, and importantly, can be pronounced. What am I supposed to call this new brand? Suhzestabawky? See Ess Tee Ee Boke? See Ess Teboke? Just list all the letters in that alphabet soup? I’m sorry but it’s just so bad I felt I had to say something since obviously nobody pointed it out before these lights were released. Maybe it’s not too late to change it? Either way I wish you the of luck with your new endeavor.

Sofirn Outstanding Flashlights Illuminate Revealing Nights

Cannot Say This Easily But Only Know English

It's obvious which trade name I prefer, but I also wish you the best of luck with your new brand.

Thanks for selling on AmazonUS, as that is where I have the best overall results buying lights.

I possess too many lights (maybe they possess me) and have more Sofirns than all of the other brands combined. Thanks for all you do for the flashlight community and this forum.

Is there a business reason for launching this new brand? Is it going to be a discount or high-end brand?

It’s normal way to saturate the flashlight market with different brand names. Gottta start somewhere

Please Sofirn, let us come up with a better name than CSTEBOKE. It looks like some of those random letter brands on Amazon you see when you scroll down.

I pronounce CSTEBOKE as "Caste Broke," which does not have a good ring to it.

I wouldn't use that brand name.

God awful name.

So is this basically the same as YAKORSEI?

We’re you playing scrabble when came up with the name

I’m interested.

I agree 100% that name...oooph! It's just random letters. Acronyms should be kept short and clean if you're gonna use an acronym. Maybe have a vote or name contest on the forum?

em… so many complaints about the name.
CS is acronym of our city. TEBOKE is name of company.
we have registered the brand, it is a bit hard to change the name. Maybe we can come up with a good way to read it.

Whats wrong with just TEBOKE then? Why do you need the CS? What happens if you move locations? I'm a huge fan, love everything yall do...but real talk, the naming is gonna cost you sales. BLFers will still buy, of course. But, Unless someone knows the company and knows who you are, they are gonna think its a knockoff brand. Secondly, I don't know how comfortable I would be showing off my edc pocket jewelry with a bad scrabble hand written on it.

Mmm unfortunate error of judgment. Maybe it would help to add a space or dash. CS-TEBOKE, but that would probably not be the same registered name.
Better to just take the loss and change the name. I would not buy a light this branding.

LOL

I’d also like to add that a good brand name helps with sales, something catchy and easy to pronounce. Many people who don’t know Sofirn may think it’s just another unknown cheap Chinese brand.

Olight
Jetbeam
Nitecore
Streamlight

etc… these sound really good and a good name can also add value.

You also need to consider dealers/resellers where a good name helps advertising in a major way

No, Yakorsei was under the company called Jinba which Sofirn are under. Yakorsei produced much higher end models comparable to Fenix. This company is still thinking of developing more models.

YAKORSEI? I thought somebody was making a joke about EYESORE with bad spelling.

Very poor judgement and will inevitably not be retained, much less have an association to the brand (consumer wise).

You are very self-centred if you don’t run a focus group prior to launching a new company. I wouldn’t sell that brand, and if anything, hide the make with any dealings with friends/acquaintances. Come to think of it, I wouldn’t want to have such in my collection. The product line doesn’t seem to be of any higher value than Sofirn, which is by itself a difficult name to associate with a flashlight company. We BLFers know you as an underdog that strives for better lights than the cheap (pejoratively) Chinese makers. From a layman’s perspective, the make has much ado with the product.

You have fallen rank.

I’m disappointed in your thinking. Another blunder as timed step-down on a scuba light, or failure to honour a 1-meter drop warranty of a $15 light.
