VezerLezer ED10 Review

VezerLezer kindly sent an ED10 for review. It is their first torch and it looks like a pretty solid first release. It’s also the first time that I’ve received a torch for review!

i;ve seen other lights that do not work with ‘just any’ usb-c charger

[cyansky M1R - tiny little thing, won;t work with 90 watt usb-c charger, wth?]

what is this PD stuff?

Excellent review, Tim. I was fortunate enough to receive an ED10 during their release GAW. It is a very solid build, with excellent anodizing and quality machining. I am really enjoying the fillet profile on the bottom of the tail cap…wish more manufacturers would emulate that style. I much prefer the stepped ramping UI. The mode spacing is perfect, and ramp reversability is super convenient. Moon mode is very useful, and not overly bright. It’s easier to find/feel the switch in the dark on this light than any of my other side switch lights. Hella bright, too. Competes with my SP35 fairly well.
Looking forward to future designs from VezerLezer.

I’m not deeply familiar with USB specifications.

I think USB-C Power Delivery allows the voltage and current to be negotiated. If a device with a USB-C socket doesn’t negotiate properly it might not get power.

Early versions of the Raspberry Pi 4 had issues with USB-C PD too:

Thanks! VezerLezer mentioned that the ED10 is now also available for pre-order in 5000K.

The smooth tailcap is nice to hold.

Excellent review, thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the review. Tim

Beam looks super smooth from your pics, I’ll be interested in the 5000k version, pricing isn’t bad either.

It does look like a Sofirn production, which is by no means a bad thing if it is. Good review, thanks.

Thanks for the review. Looking forward to the tail and side switch version.

Very nice job!
