My trusty Dragon VP4 seems to consider 3.9V as charged about half the time so i’m thinking i need to replace it.
I’m looking for a good quality charger that can charge 18650, 21700 and 26650.
2 bays is sufficient, more is nice if there isn’t much more cost.
If its not much more money then capacity testing would be nice to have as would internal resistance testing.
TIA

I have the NiteCore UM4.
I would recommend that or the UM2 or UMS2.
They accept cells up to 79mm long, which is great for if you ever get (long) protected 21700 cells.
There are reports that some of these fit 26800 cells, too, but just barely.

Note that Sofirn seems to sell that charger a bit cheaper, if you do end up choosing it:

I’ve personally used the Lii-500 and Lii-600. They won’t fit cells longer than an unprotected 21700, but they’ve got a good variety of testing/charging modes/currents.
I used to charge my 18650 batteries with the generic chargers that came with budget LED flashlights until I came across a Nitecore charger at my local Goodwill outlet store where the junk that isn’t sold in the stores gets dumped in trays and sold by the pound for $1.69 per pound. There must be a lot of people quitting vaping because over the past two years I picked up 5 chargers – a Digicharger D4, three Intellicharger i4 and one Intellicharger i2. They work amazingly well for charging any rechargeable battery I own except for some C and D cells that don’t fit the charger. I see they are not all that expensive new based upon the link below. I acquired two of the ones shown on the left and one on the right for less than a dollar each at Goodwill.

Be sure to get a charger that accepts 21700 cells of the length that you feel comfortable with.
(Not all chargers are long enough for 21700 cells.)

thanks for the review link.. here is my takeaway:
“I found one error: The internal resistance calculation is wrong. And a major inconvenience: It is not possible to see when the charger is done, without pressing a button (It emits a discrete beep when done).”
so, I decided not to buy, since I wanted to use the Internal Resistance info.. that does not work.

I bought a UMS2 and it doesn’t really fit 26800 cells. I can technically get them in there but you’ll be marring the wrappings on your batteries every time you charge them. However, with a little bit of Dremel work you can remove enough plastic to allow a comfortable fit for 26800s. I will post a picture of my modification when I am at home and I remember.

I prefer slow (.5-1A) charging, and I really like my Xtar VC2 chargers. Only $11-13 on AE. I’ve been getting them locally for $7.

Ditto. Bought mine as recommended by Killzone but even cheaper here https://www.18650batterystore.com/products/xtar-mc2?utm_campaign=8595014...
For one of the most recommended chargers with accurate testing there is the Opus BT C3100 v2.2 charger from legit AliExpress store: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002811401255.html?spm=a2g0o.order_li…(link is external). It is about $35 IIRC, half the cost of same thing on Amazon. The seller I quoted is legit and the thing came in around 10-12 days. AFAIK Opus is one of the few chargers that could test internal resistance and capacity accurately. Google it.

Last reply vanished somehow, take two:
The Nitecore UM2 and Xtar VC2 look interesting but are hard to find shipped to Canada.
Both accept USB power which is very convenient.
The Nitecore can test internal resistance but i can’t tell if it can test capacity

Sofirn has given me a few USB lithium ion chargers when I bought their stuff. Do you have any left over? I think there’s a lot of 1 bay USB chargers.
I’ve been using a Miboxer 8 bay for a while;really like it.
There are some on Amazon from around $28 and up; mine was $45.
