Solarforce L2 Sand host only for 9 bucks

First, apologies if this is old news.

And darn you, Foy and others, for making me want an L2 (or 2) of my very own!

Surely old news, but still nice to look at and think about. Thanks for the reminder post, personally I love those golden L2 bodies. Stainless bezels of all shapes really work well with those, thinking of aesthetics.

The CR123A version of that particular body used to be available for one dollar less; seems they have adjusted the prices.

L2 Grey for the same price also. Getting one of each.

I can't tell if these are forward or reverse clicky, anyone know?

Not sure, but the Solarforce L2X Ext. body is now $19.99 to, the last 7 pieces.... seems like a fair price!

I bought a L2X EXT a few Months ago. $20 for that kind of Build Quality is a steal. I bought 2 more + a L2GREY.

Mine is reverse clicky. Ordered late last year so, bear that in mind as they seem to have some consistency issues at times (not that I don't love Solarforce).

jacktheclipper, did yours come with a non color matched bezel? Mine did and I was wondering if it was just a mistake of if they all came that way. Looks like you also did the custom grind on that. Nice.

It used to match , But after I ground the bezel it was two-tone , so I de-annodized .

Just ordered 2. thanks for the heads up!

All L2 have a reverse clicky, only a few of the new 2011 have forward. The grey and the sand are older --> reverse.

I bought my sand L2 for the same price about a year ago during a similar promotion .

Picked up the gray with a semi-crenulated SS bezel and a SF protected battery. Does anyone have a pic of the actual gray SF? The pictures on the SF are kinda weak - it almost looks like silver.

Thanks, cone - I prefer reverse, but I can live with either.

I fancy one of these but what drop in do I get? XML would be my choice but there are lots. And do I get a solarforce one or do I get one from somewhere else.

Thanks in advance, Marc.

As long as the voltage window is correct for the batteries you want to use, you just have to decide on if you want modes or not, and if so, how many and what configuration. I have gotten most of my drops from Solarforce because buying there, while slightly more expensive than some other places, avoids a lot of issues inherent in dealing with other venders. Plus Solarforce has better than average CS, so if something unexpected happens, they are good about coming up with an equitable solution.

Good find. I bought 2 of each color.

Can someone tell me if these grey/sand L2s tailstand? Thx guys.

no.

Now only if I could find a warm white xml drop in with no disco modes....
