Right angle flashlight like the Convoy H1 with Red emitter

I’m looking for an Convoy H1 with a red emitter option. The S2+ has this as an option using the CSLNM1 or SST-20. However, I can’t seem to find this emitter for the H1. The Skilhunt H03C RC has a red emitter but it was not really adjustable like a pure CSLNM1 package would be.

It is possible to get an H1 with a red led?

that is a good question to ask Covoy.. Ive heard Simon is very helpful

my opinion,
for a red LED I would look for a light with Anduril.

some of the lights with 3 or 4 modes, that I have put Red LEDs into, dont have proper mode spacing after the swap.

whereas Anduril ramping tolerates the vF difference without any problem..
I just built a Red Ramping light.. quite fun:

the pocket clip allows for use on a hat, when sitting around, stargazing, and checking maps with ultra low Red Light..

Interesting. Not ready to mod yet, haha! Good info about the ramping. I should ask Simon what he thinks about something workable for the H1.

I would message Simon and ask but I’m pretty sure the answer will be no. He did just recently come out with a special driver for the low forward voltage of red emitters, but it’s 17mm and isn’t configured for the e-switch. So it’s not an easy drop in that he might be willing to do for you as he does with many requests. I think that light uses 20mm or 22mm for the driver, which could probably be adapted down to 17 with brass ring adapters but I don’t know if the switch could actually be added via solder points or not…likely not. That would be a bit above First Mod skill, though. Smile

Wurkkos is an offshoot of the Sofirn company/factory and has brought out some quite nice lights. Their HD15 headlamp is more compact than the Convoy, has dual emitters, and they offer a version that has the red emitter (the HD15R…choice of host colors as well). They had some great coupons for us on here that brought their headlamps down to a great price, either on amazon or via their website…might still be able to get a code if you ask them in their thread, if the light suits you.

Armytek C2 WR, warm or cool. I have the warm.

You can't compare the big flashlight in the sky to the little flashlight in your hand.

I finally ordered that with red body at the same time when I got TS10. – 10% at Wurkkos. com.

Emisar DW4 would be my main choice with red and warm white emitters, but it’s not cheapest, but is probably best. Waiting different body colors and maybe then. Green or white would do it.

I was hoping the DW4 would be a bit less chunky than it is…almost bought one immediately until I saw the dimensions. I don’t think I’ve seen reviews on it but I’m sure it’s as excellent as all his other lights. Good stuff.

Check out Hank’s new right angle light. It runs on Anduril UI (ramping option) and has SST-20 660nm available.

You could install a red LED in a Convoy H1 yourself, if you wanted to. My Osram W1 Red runs great on an 8×7135 driver, and Hank has been running SST20 Deep Reds on his linear drivers for awhile, so they don’t HAVE to have the lower voltage driver.

Well, I’m not ready yet! Smile

Thank you for your Convoy Guide. It helped me make decisions and put together an order of items. I was lost without it.

Are y’all aware of any of these right angle flashlights with green or yellow emitter?

I feel like that should be on the sidebar like some of the other links…
