just noticed they have a bunch of them in different cell sizes

Interesting. Curious what kind of amps it pulls on just one AA and if it can run a 14500.

yeah me too. not too much info on the site.

Ahh, didn't notice your comment about there being multiple hosts. I'm quite curious as to what this thing can do - http://www.cnqualitygoods.com/goods.php?id=1466.

Ric is it? I wonder if he'll chime in. Maybe this post should be moved to a non cell-specific section.

Not crazy about the mode spacing. 100%, 50%, 25%. That's like two mediums.

or 2 Highs and a high medium, since 100% and 50% are the brightness settings I use for two "high" on one of my torches. Not much brightness difference there.

There is also this P60 sized one: http://www.cnqualitygoods.com/goods.php?id=1467

This one that JonnyC posted looks to me like a single-celled Crelant with Magnetic control. I LOVE it's looks. I just hope it performs as well.

I have written Ric for more information on these as they would sell like hotcakes at these prices if they perform anywhere well.

Very interesting!
I’m always amazed that he takes most of the photos with the lights laying on the ground or in the dirt
I see that these lights still use a tail switch for on/off. I’d prefer that be done with the ring as well. I guess that’s to eliminate parasitic drain but I’d rather just slightly unscrew the tail cap if possible.
I agree with the comments regarding the output spacing…not optimal at all. I could do without the % numbers on the ring. The only one that looks somewhat decent is the last one listed but it still has all of the faults listed above.
I’ll be passing on these.

I would prefer a continuous dimmer with the magnetic ring, and not 25-50-100. Or may be 1-10-100% if dimmer is not possible, and with no writings on the ring..

Looks very similar to Jetbeam models (especially in reply #6 (RRT-2 and RRT-1 respectively).

I bought an Ultrafire ZF7371 a while ago from KD and I believe it's the same light.

The UF version is top-heavy (solid brass pill), the machining is OK and the control ring works fine. With the original XR-E it has a soft throwy beam. I briefly tried both an XM-L and an XP-G but the beam got too ringy for my like, so I changed back to an XR-E again. The original switch is reverse clicky and changing to a forward clicky was a bit complicated but managable (had to change the whole switch PCB). There is not much visible difference in brightness between high and medium and the PWM in medium and low clearly visible (annoying if you ask me). Strobe has 3 cycling frequencies, SOS works as it should. It works both with 18650 and 2 x CR123A.

Some more information (for those who can German) and flashlight porn here:

If the CNG offer is actually the same light (which I don't know) I would personally not recommend it unless the price drops to 25.00 $ or less.

I see Kinder eggs !!!!!

Does anyone have a purchase link to the hall-effect drivers?

I have a couple scavenged from lights, but would like some increased output.
