Congratulations, however you shouldn’t be making multiple “commercial seller” threads about the same project. It is against the rules.

How did this even get >200k$US funded on Kickstarter??

I’m guessing a lot of people are not aware that there are other 18350 right angle lights that have very similar if not the same Max output. Throw in some language that makes it appear there are no other lights in this class. Claim that it’s “the brightest EDC flashlight in your pocket”. Add some incorrect dimensional diagrams. To be fair most lights don’t give you a measurement including the clip. But it does appear that the drawing and dimension including the clip measurement is inaccurate. I’m not sure what they’re trying to convey with that guy walking with the light changing modes and the battery hours flashing by. It’s totally useless and I believe misleading.

Wuben, why is the clip made from aluminium and not steel or titanium? According to one review he bent it out and it never returned to the original position.

AFAIK aluminum comes in two flavors: soft or brittle. Neither have elastic properties. But you can use it to act as the “body” of the clip, while a coil spring around a pivoting point provides the elasticity. Like in an aluminum carabiner.

I doubt it is an aluminum clip. If it is, well I better get to work on making replacement clips. Looks like I’ve got a few thousand customers all lined up. :sunglasses:

i don;t get it

isn;t wuben big enough to develop products without begging?

you donate $42 and then you can get the light later for $17 off?

why would i do that?

(besides i also hate right angle lights……)

Marketing platform to reach more customers. Might even pull in new flashlight fans into our world :-). Win-win.

they could just give away a light or two for that

instead of tiny discounts for huge ‘investments’.

I’m glad that the light reached the stretch goals (the Samsung LED is probably much nicer than the Osram one, so I only backed after that was acheived). I will agree with the others in the oddity of using a Kickstarter to fund this new light — that site does not have a great rep, and crowdfunding feels rather risky no matter what project is backed. The initial review samples by others looked to be good, so I excitedly await the release.

Actually the clip of the Al version is made from steel and the Ti version is made from titanium.

Once X-0 Knight starts on sale, the price will be higher than the current one.

You should know that now would be the best price.
