Updating AceBeam K60 to XHP70.3 HI

I decided to update the Acebeam K60 made way back in the year 2015 by replacing the Led to XHP70.3 HI N2 1A White 6500K, I purchased the led at Kaidomain here:

I was thinking in giving the K60 a little more throw than the regular XHP70.2 HD it had from the last upgrade that was detailed here:

Last week I modded my AceBeam K60 from the XHP70 it originally had to the XHP70.2 P2 1C I purchased from LEDDNA, it arrived well packaged in around 10 days from the date I ordered it, not bad timing at all! I took a sample beamshot of the K60 stock LED that was a XHP70 N4 1C, probably not noticeable in the beamshot but it had a faint dark hole in the center of the beam from the separation between the dies. The light on the left is one of my only stock lights I have a Sunwayman D40A running …

I finished the upgrade and here are the results, comparison pictures of the beams (Tried to adjust the brightness so all lights could be about the same)

On the left is AceBeam XHP70.3 HI, on the center is Convoy 3X21A SFT40 (3 led), on the right is Astrolux FT03 XHP50 HD, as you can see now the AceBeam K60 beam is a little smaller than the 3X21A beam which gives more throw than the original led and is also smaller than the XHP50 HD on the Astrolux. Still the Convoy 3X21A beats it in throw and brightness but not much.

Not bad for a 7 year old flashlight, I think it is a worthy upgrade (No more rainbow tint!), hopefully brighter bins will be out soon!!! :sunglasses:

Thanks for posting your results. Did you have to adjust the height of the centering ring to focus the 70.3 HI?
