Henk4U2's 4,000-ish post GAW. (CLOSED)

Maybe you’ve noticed I passed the 4,000 mark some time ago, but every time I thought of doing a GAW something came up. The usual things for my age group like “four funerals and a wedding”, but if you don’t mind………….

What I would like to offer is an ordered-fixed-tested-shelved Wurkkos DL70 diving light. Comes from a faulty batch where something went wrong during assembly and QC missed it. Leaving the 4 x XHP50.2 with an almost non-existing heat path and therefore a short life expectancy. Well, I could not pass on a chance to order such a light for $22.50 that would have cost me €110 on Amazon(dot)nl.

Apart from the FIXED issue it’s a great real diving light. Read the REVIEW. With an amazing output and a typical KISS diving light UI (Low-Mid-High-Turbo).

So now I own a very nice light with a tremendous output but without any intention to use it (as a diver). I do have other diving lights. Those are more C8 sized, and are more suited for caving, walking in torrential rains, etc. IMHO the DL70 is a great diving light but is too big to carry around for the things I mentioned before. And it really would be a shame to hang it on a nail next to my backdoor as a what-is-going-on-in-my-backyard light.

If you wanna win my DL70, just post “I’m in” and you are in. Here are the rules.
1/ You must be a BLF member before January 1st 2022.
2/ You must have more than 25 posts at the time I publish the list of valid entries.
3/ One entry per person. People with multiple entries are automatically disqualified.
4/ Due to certain constraints, I’ll only send this light to a valid address in a country PostNL considers to be Europe. You’ll find an exhaustive overview in post #2.
5/ You’ll have to pay your own duties and VAT if you live in a country that is in Europe, but is not a member of the European Union (EU). Again, look in post #2.

Entries for this GAW end on Sunday September 4th 2022, at 22:00h GMT (that’s midnight where I live). I’ll give a 24 hours notice before that moment is reached. If necessary, I bump up the thread one or more times. Within 24 hours after closing I hope to publish a list of valid entries. Upon which you have 72 hours to warn me about errors etc. in that list. If things go as planned Random.Org will select a winner at 22:00h GMT on September 8th 2022. I’ll PM the winner a.s.a.p. to provide me with the necessary shipping information. If he/she fails to do so within 5 working days, I’ll use Random.Org to choose another winner. This will go on until a winner has emerged with a valid address in the Europe as defined in post #2.

Since this is my GAW, I’m allowed to alter, or make new, rules if the old ones lead to unclear or unwanted situations. Arguments about the time-stamp on entries are resolved on how they are translated to my timezone in this thread. As always I put in a packet of Fisherman’s Friend, so you can blame your tears on that.

Good Luck!!

Not in, but thanks for the GAW Wim!
Come to think of it, how many posts did i make, and shouldnt i do a GAW as well?

Not in for various reasons - I don’t qualify, and wouldn’t use the light - but thank you for the giveaway!

Ha, got one from this batch but was unable to open it so far. Ordered 5000K XHP50.2s for it and will give it another try. Not in, but thanks for the gaw.

Thanks Wim. I am in. And a good reminder that I should think of a giveaway also.

Thanks for the giveaway, Henk4U2!

I'm not in, for more than one reason, but I love watching giveaways on BLF even if I'm not in them.

I’m not in, but thankyou for doing the generous giveaway :+1:

Thank you for the giveaway, I am in.

I’m a diver so if I win I’ll definitely cover shipping

Come on guys. The people of 1Lumen (dot)com gave this light 4½ stars!

I’m in :smiling_imp:
Thanks for the GAW

Not in, but thanks for the GAW.

Can’t join unfortunately, but I appreciate the post on the repair, nicely done.

Finally a GAW with good odds of winning.

I’m in !

Apologies for missing my own que, to give you a 24h notice for a last minute entry into this GAW. Instead it will be a 13h notice (22h GMT is midnight where I live). Last chance to win this very fine (but slightly bulky) diving light.

I have 4 of them so not in.

Thank you anyway

I’m in. Thanks!)

Time is up! No valid entries possible after this post.
