Maybe you’ve noticed I passed the 4,000 mark some time ago, but every time I thought of doing a GAW something came up. The usual things for my age group like “four funerals and a wedding”, but if you don’t mind………….
What I would like to offer is an ordered-fixed-tested-shelved Wurkkos DL70 diving light. Comes from a faulty batch where something went wrong during assembly and QC missed it. Leaving the 4 x XHP50.2 with an almost non-existing heat path and therefore a short life expectancy. Well, I could not pass on a chance to order such a light for $22.50 that would have cost me €110 on Amazon(dot)nl.
Apart from the FIXED issue it’s a great real diving light. Read the REVIEW. With an amazing output and a typical KISS diving light UI (Low-Mid-High-Turbo).
So now I own a very nice light with a tremendous output but without any intention to use it (as a diver). I do have other diving lights. Those are more C8 sized, and are more suited for caving, walking in torrential rains, etc. IMHO the DL70 is a great diving light but is too big to carry around for the things I mentioned before. And it really would be a shame to hang it on a nail next to my backdoor as a what-is-going-on-in-my-backyard light.
If you wanna win my DL70, just post “I’m in” and you are in. Here are the rules.
1/ You must be a BLF member before January 1st 2022.
2/ You must have more than 25 posts at the time I publish the list of valid entries.
3/ One entry per person. People with multiple entries are automatically disqualified.
4/ Due to certain constraints, I’ll only send this light to a valid address in a country PostNL considers to be Europe. You’ll find an exhaustive overview in post #2.
5/ You’ll have to pay your own duties and VAT if you live in a country that is in Europe, but is not a member of the European Union (EU). Again, look in post #2.
Entries for this GAW end on Sunday September 4th 2022, at 22:00h GMT (that’s midnight where I live). I’ll give a 24 hours notice before that moment is reached. If necessary, I bump up the thread one or more times. Within 24 hours after closing I hope to publish a list of valid entries. Upon which you have 72 hours to warn me about errors etc. in that list. If things go as planned Random.Org will select a winner at 22:00h GMT on September 8th 2022. I’ll PM the winner a.s.a.p. to provide me with the necessary shipping information. If he/she fails to do so within 5 working days, I’ll use Random.Org to choose another winner. This will go on until a winner has emerged with a valid address in the Europe as defined in post #2.
Since this is my GAW, I’m allowed to alter, or make new, rules if the old ones lead to unclear or unwanted situations. Arguments about the time-stamp on entries are resolved on how they are translated to my timezone in this thread. As always I put in a packet of Fisherman’s Friend, so you can blame your tears on that.
Good Luck!!
