Amutorch BT35 VS Convoy L21B PM1 Beamshots

That answers my questions. Nice comparison, as always, sir.

Thank you, immensely.

Thanks for the comparison photos!

Is the BT35 hot spot similar to an NM1?

Not being experienced with LEP, but liking the BT35 (2 modes, no blinkies, form factor), how good is the flashlight as an LEP light?

Reaching that range (820m) and with the apparently narrow and defined beam, is it any good?

Thanks in advance for these beamshots :+1:

Build quality is good, but threads are gritty with ano wearing off in some places. Someone mentioned on reddit that Maxtoch and Amutorch are the same company, if this is so, it explains the poor threads since Maxtoch’s aren’t the best either.

Beam profile is great with no artifacts.

I really like how small this is compared to my other LEPs, but I do prefer that L21B. The reason is that an LEP is useless if you don’t already have a sense of where things are.

In the city I can see them being fun to play with, but out here on the farm I’d never use one over a reflector based flashlight.

It would be very similar size wise. I could of used the NM1 in the L21B, but since Convoy haven’t focused them correctly it would look different for everyone else.

Thank you very much for your reply and detail on the build of the flashlight, too!
What drives me towards this light is what you mention about the form factor. That said, your advice seems important since the light would be used mostly on the countryside, and there an extra spill can be helpful.

May I ask if the beam is overall white or if it has yellow/greenish shifts as other LEPs?

Thanks for the reply in advance :+1:

Sorry, I don’t know the answer since I own very few LEPs, only the Natfire SF2 and an OEM model I was sent from Alibaba. In my review I will measure the CCT with my OPPLE. I may remove the lens and take a photo next to a something else.
