I am the new owner of a Sionyx Aurora night vision camera. It has a 1/4 20 tripod thread at the bottom in order to attach the camera to a tripod. I would like to use this thread to mount an infrared flashlight / illuminator. Have you suggestions for mount and for illuminator combination ? I would like it relatively compact / low profil (not bigger than the camera itself). My need concerning IR illumination is being able to see wildlife at a distance of maximum 100 meters. I would like a zoomable flashlight, in order to choose between throw and flood.
Are there IR flashlights equiped with male tripod threads ? Or should I use an adapter to convert from tripod thread to picatinny + a picatinny flashlight holder ?
Of course I am in search of budget solutions, let us say below 60 dollars for mount + illuminator.
