Can you update my TS10 firmware?

I’m relatively new to lights and have a bunch but I’ve never jumped down the rabbit hole of flashing new firmwares… Not sure if it’s even a real thing that people do with their collections……

Anyhoo - Can anyone steer me in the direction of how to get my 3 TS10’s updated so that the AUX don’t drain the batteries too low… and also it’d be nice if they weren’t on ALL the time.

I hear the new versions being sold now don’t have the problem but I have all with the February firmware symptoms…. If I didn’t love these lights so much I might not really care…

Maybe this is just not reasonable and I’m left to give them away as gifts. and buy new…???

if anyone wants to trade services I’d be happy to sandblast and distress one/three of your lights for you- here’s what they turn out like.

I can help reflash for you. This adds LVP to Aux, turns Aux off when main LEDs are On, and adds lower lows. The same as the new lights have. PM me to discuss details if interested.

other alternatives

you can turn off Aux… 7clics from Off, changes 4 Aux brightness levels
or
set Aux to Low instead of High
or
use blinky Aux, which already has LVP
or,
turn the Aux lights off by untwisting the head (dont press the button, it starts a reset process…)

Or, you can learn how to reflash…
its easy, only took me 3 months and 2 dead lights to figure out…
and you can buy the hardware really inexpensively, from gchart, and you can use an android phone… and arcane command line codes… While wearing a jewelers visor so you can see the pogo pins on the flashing pads… and maybe use a clamp, if your hands shake…

If youre still interested in learning how to reflash, I will be happy to help answer questions.

For your "dead lights", where they permanently bricked or did you just need to reflash them?

yes, but, I have special skills… LOL… I literally crossed the wires when building the harness incorrectly…

If you buy the complete all in one flashing kit from gchart, everything is already wired correctly.

It is still possible to brick a light after that… requires additional skills… like this guy:
