Loved Man of Steel, sorry they went right into the Batman stuff before a true Superman sequel. Liam is āokā from what I have seen of him but is definitely a downgrade:-(
Both of them are not on my shortlist of receiving an Oscar, but it is a waste of human capital to bury an actor who takes good care for your box office in a TV show. Remington Steel is another fine example.
I think both Zod and Batman plots were premature. The Superman character needed time to establish an identity. Still liked Man of Steel for what it was.
Maybe itās just me, but I think Liam has all the charisma of a wet blanket.
I would say the show was pretty ok but the performances were elevating it a bit. Losing Cavill is probably going to drop the show into the mediocre category for me. If Liam can fill the role convincingly I will be extremely surprised. Glad I donāt own any Netflix stockā¦
Its not surprising hes leaving, he originally stated he was in it for the long haul the full Monty but under the condition that the story would remain faithful to the source material he understood āsomeā changes would need to take place to adapt it to the screen much like how some changes occurred for the games but the overall major parts story remained unchangedā¦. BUT the series has a room full of writers who actively mocks the source material and believed they could do better which they canāt and failed at which pissed off āGeraltā(Henry Cavill) more than anything since before he was even cast he was an avid fan of the series which is why his portrayal of āGeraltā was so convincing and enjoyed by fans.
There is controversy regarding his departure from the show. They are saying, he left because the show runners and writers were ignoring the source material. And they are even saying that the writers pretty much hated the books, games and author. Apparently the author and source material are not woke enough for them. According to reports. So, Cavil was fed up, and he quit. Mind you, he was scheduled to be on the show for at least 6, 7 seasons. He even said he would do the show as long as the show remained faithful to the source material. In my opinion, he was the only good thing about that show. Season 2 was horrible.
As usual when it come to TV stuff, and me not caring much for that or for that matter having owned no TV for the past years.
Then i have to resort to friendly search engines to figure things out.
And i came up with ā that guy that also do superman in resent movies ā, and i have seen those on my 32ā Computer screen.
Then the guy is not what i would call a actor that breathe life into the characters he portray, but then again the super dude are not much of a challenge, he need to get into something more complex.
Many many of the latest popular TV series i have not seen a single episode off, so all i know is what little i have picked up on the net as after all when a series go big, it also hit the net.
Even if i was TV inclined i think something like the Vikings TV series i would not have watched, as it would probably just make me realize what sorry - weak - sniveling fools this former Viking nation are today, and like most people i have a problematic relationship with the truth when it is hurt.
I mean, 32ā is the size of a smaller TV so Iām not sure why it is relevant that you donāt use an actual TV. Lots of people own TVs and donāt use them to literally watch TV stations these days. Streaming is taking over.
Sometimes directors make odd choices. They ask for emotions that donāt fit or save takes with poor performances. For example, Natalie Portman is praised as an actress, but if you had only ever seen her in Star Wars Episode 2 youād laugh at the very notion that she can act. Cavill definitely has more potential than he shows in the DC movies as Superman. He has ~20 other films if you want to see. I enjoyed The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
