Which 18350 tube and battery for Wurkkos FC12?

Hi everyone!

After buying my first Wurkkos FC12 based on advice on this forum, I now bought my second one (yes here I go down the rabbit hole). The first one I gave it away to a family member who needed a good light and my FC12 matches his needs.

Now I want to mod this light to use a 18350 rechargable battery as another family member needs a good light but thinks the FC12 is a bit too large.

I’ve reached out to Wurkkos and they say there’s no 18350 tube for the FC12. Sofirn advices me to buy this tube:

Does anyone have experience with this tube? And which 18350 batteries will fit? I’m thinking of using Acebeam 18350 1100mAh - USB battery as it’s rechargable via USB, but it’ll be a bit larger compared to other 18350 batteries, so I’m not sure if it’ll fit.

You’ve probably figured this out by now, but I can confirm that the short tube included with the Wurkkos HD15 headlamp also fits the FC12, although the original belt clip is a sloppy fit in the wider groove of this short tube. I used a KeepPower 18350 flat top 1200mAh battery in this light and it works fine on all output settings, although I didn’t run it long enough to discover how long it would run with this 18350 battery. The Sofirm 18350 tube should also work in the FC12. However, it’s still a fairly long light even with the short tube due to the long tail switch cap and the deep reflector.
