Tripod mounting options

For “soda can” size flashlights that don’t have tripod mounting threads, I’m interested to know what alternatives BLFers use for mounting flashlights on tripods?

(For < 40mm diameter I use SmallRig Super Clamps, for < 28mm I use Kaidomain U-shaped tripod mounts, but I don’t have a solution > 40mm).

:+1:
I too am interested. I have to think somebody on here has figured something out.

You can 3D print them.

I use something similar to this: Printables

I am using the smallrig clamp with tripod as well and have the same problem, bigger lights won’t fit properly.
in fact we need a bigger (smallrig type) clamp

Thanks for the ideas so far. Please post any other suggestions.

WAENLIR 6 Piece 6.5 inch Nylon Spring Clamp Set Plastics Clips for backdrop, Wood Working, Photography, Craft, Art DIY Amazon.com You could probably do something with one of these nylon spring clamps. 6.5 inch long with a jaw opening of 3 inches. If you drill and mount a male x female adapter or whatever adapter you want on there. Probably in the middle of one jaw or near the tip of one jaw. You can probably buy them one or two at a time at larger hardware or lumber yards. In the US, harbor freight has different sizes.
I have used some of the smaller ones to make mounts for 18650 lights. I use two of them with 4 inches of insulated #12 or #10 solid copper wire in between two handles. The wire goes from the end of one handle to the end of the handle on the other clamp. One clamp holds the light and the other clamp can be put onto a vertical or horizontal pipe or joist in a basement or nail in a wall or anything the clamp can fit on. The copper wire can be bent to hold the clamp and aim the light wherever you want it. In the future I’ll take detailed pictures of these.
