Just received my second ts10 silver with red aux. I noticed the auxiliary lights are much dimmer then my red with ice blue lights? This is on either high or low settings.
The red is so low that you need to be a darkened room to see them.
Anybody have multiple ts10’s to compare auxiliary lights. Is red just far less visible or did I get one that just runs dim?
Kind of bummed. I just ordered a brass with red auxiliary. I hope its brighter. If not looks like i’m going to buy another. Maybe in orange??
Totally awesome light by the way. The few seconds of turbo light are for sure a conversation piece.
Vf is different on the Aux light so, this affects the LED intensity.
Ice Blue is much brighter than the Reds and Oranges I have. Both Red and Orange are really dim during the day on low to the point of not seeing them unless partially shaded. On high, they are usable as long as they are not in direct sunlight.
My Ice Blue on low are brighter than Red or Orange on high. Orange seems a little bit brighter than Red as well but, not a lot brighter and Ice Blue which is totally in a different class of intensity even on low compared to Red and Orange while on high.
To get Red and Orange intensity up, you really need to change the resistor values. I know a few guys/gals on Reddit have done resistor mods to fix the Red and Orange intensity issue. Depending on where you are and the cost of shipping, it might be worthwhile to send them off for a resistor mod. The brass though might be a bit tough to get swapped because Wurkkos apparently used an enormous amount of superglue on the bezel making it so difficult to get off I know of two flashlights that were damaged in the process.
Yup. I just got the brass with red aux. No brighter then the other red I have.I wish I knew this before I started ordering them.
I love the one ice blue I have. So I’m just going to gift the 2 reds I have for Christmas. And order another brass with blue
I sent a email to wurkkos asking about brass with green. The answer is not at this time.
