Not sure if anyone else has been keeping an eye on this, but FastTech has now confirmed that they are ceasing operations.
This comes on the heels of a new tax imposed on e-cigarette products in China, which significantly impacts FastTech’s main revenue stream.
This is a bit sad for me, since they’ve been a great resource to me for all kinds of gadgets and textiles from China, including flashlights.
They certainly had overlap with other Chinese vendors, but I found their customer service to be relatively more responsive and accommodating.
OMG! Why is China beating down their online businesses? First Alibaba and now this! I purchased so much from Fastech. Their photos of the product being shipped was something I never saw before.
Sorry to read that. Was one of the first stores on my go-to list.
More reliable than BG and GB, definitely cheaper and much faster.
Though last year the list of no more available items was growing fast.
The last year I bought stuff from Kaidomain. Speed etc. matches that of Fasttech.
They even listed and sold brass pills for Convoy S2+ after it got OOS with Fasttech.
What a shame. Kyle, the founder of FastTech, is a principled and honest guy, and he really did try to turn the company around when he came back into a position of leadership after taking a break. I guess that honesty and decency are not valued much in the business world anymore…
Fasttech was the only Chinese seller I trusted, it was similar to dealing with an American retailer, dealing with the China dealers, in general, was terrible and bizarre for an old-school American.
A lot of us were introduced to a strange passive-aggressive resistance to correct things, make-good on things when we started buying from China dealers, behavior we had never seen from a store before.
I started with Fast tech many years ago. It’s been a long time but I have many interesting purchases from there. Various modding bits and pieces. They will be missed.
