A few questions about a Noctigon KR4 Dual-Channel (W2/219b) with 9A + FET driver

Hi all,

I spontaneously ordered the lamp described in the title, based on testimonials of this configuration on the web. This is my first dual-channel Hanklight, and I have a question specifically about the selected 9A+FET driver/firmware and the LEDs:

  • As I understand it, in this configuration, only the first channel (W2) has the FET stage enabled. Is this correct? Otherwise the 219b LEDs in the second channel would be acutely endangered in the turbo, I guess? I have also read conflicting information that the FET stage is set to 50% for the second channel by default in this configuration, does anyone know more about this?
  • According to some (partly contradictory) information in the net, the 2nd channel is connected with max. 5A only in the regulated driver channel in this configuration, if it uses the 219b. Is this true?
  • Do I run the risk to damage the W2s with a high current discharge battery (e.g. Molicel P28A) in the FET stage/turbo?

Thanks for shining some light (pun intended) on this, and apologies if these are stupid questions, I’m still a rookie with Hanklights

1) I don’t know if the FET is enabled with W2s, but in any cases, there is only one LED channel with a FET onboard

2) Most likely, otherwise you would get bluish light out of the 219A, and maybe death

3) With only two W2sThey might be overdriven if the FET is enabled
