FW3A 219c to 519a: Reflash needed?

Is a reflash needed when going from a FW3A 219c to 519a emitters?
I read about reflashing when swapping to 219b — or using a lower drain battery — but I wasn’t sure about a reflash when swapping to a 519a.

Thank you

Not tried it but i shouldn’t think so, the 219B can’t handle as much power as the 219C so the power delivered by the driver needs to be restricted, hence the reflash. (Not an ideal solution but seems to work.)

The 519A can handle similar power to the 219C and has similar Vf so should receive similar power to the 219C, so if the 219Cs are happy then the 519As should be happy too.

This is a link to Texas_Ace’s HCRI 219C test results which shows Vf and current draw:

here is a link to a Djozz’s lower CRI 219C test results showing the same:

and here is a link to Djozz’s 519A results test which, even allowing for tolerances, shows they are in the same ballpark:

Great, thank you very much for the links and the help
