Acebeam Pokelit 2AA Review

Nealsgadgets sent an Acebeam Pokelit 2AA for review a few months ago.

Here is my review:

Great review again, Tim! I agree, that’s a neat copper pill and an interesting crimp method to retain the driver…not sure I’ve see one done like that before?

Nice hookup with the copper version, too.

Do you have an easy way to make your photos click-to-enlarge or something? Sometimes it’s nice to get in closer with a driver or whatever. I can “view image” and in one browser I can click that up to 500% after some tweaks easily but it would be convenient to just click once.

Also, a single 14500 with a dummy cell would work here, would it not? Albeit with scrimpy run time.

good

Nice review but more importantly your web site is incredibly cool. Love the style.

I can add hyperlinks to open the images. If you press and hold on a phone or right click on a PC it should have an option to open the image. They have been resized to 800px 95% JPEG to reduce bandwidth (surprising amount of data transferred even with caching via CloudFlare).

I’ve been uploading larger 600px images for user manuals. All the edited images are in 1600px and 800px but I’ve only uploaded 800px.

A single 14500 cell with a dummy spacer should work but the 0.61V cut-off for low voltage protection isn’t good. The included cell seems to have it’s own LVP. So I’d recommend using a protected 14500 if using a dummy spacer.

Very good point about that cutoff!! I missed that info on the first read.
