Yeah, I am so used to a topic level delete function in other forums…
Looked everywhere and yeah, doesn’t exist here. You’d figure that if they didn’t want to make a major change to the software, there could be at least a patch to provide a delete button of a topic.
Where? You can delete individual posts, but I can’t find any control to delete a topic that you created.
I believe that it is technically possible, but Mr. Admin doesn't want regular users to be able to delete their own threads, especially if there are a number of replies, so he disabled that option.
If you PM Mr. Admin, though, it is possible for him to delete your thread.
I've done that before, but only rarely. 
It’s not polite to delete threads that others have invested their time in.

I agree, but there are plenty of BLF members that are extremely impolite.
I used to confront them on a regular basis, but now I usually try to just ignore them.
“Invested” is a very relative term. Some people would quickly forget a deleted thread that became just a scratch pad for random humor.
Indeed, not all comments are meant to be preserved. Or worth it.
