It looks like the next big thing in high powered, long run, or multiple-emitter flashlights is 26650 battery compatibility. Do you think there are enough lights and enough users here to justify a category for flashlights that use 26650 batteries?

Thanks, have fun!

Well there’s no reason not to have one right?

I just got the c-mini today from ric and it is small and bright with a 26650:)

Sure, why not?

I say yes.

I haven't yet any 26650, but in looking for my first one, so a specific section will be useful. Thanks

Ordered a ultrafire mcu c88 today for a mod project

Could you post pics/review?

Looks like a custom MagC I did here

I have quite a few 26650 flashlights- love them. They are not EDC but if you're going out with the purpose of needing light these are your go-to lights. Heaps of power and longer running. They are also what you need for hi-power applications- with 2 of my lights they output over 3000 lumens, one easliy 4000- it can only be done with big 26650s. A sub forum would be great and yes, there should be more of them!

I have my first 26650 host on the way, so yes, I would like to see a 26650 category.

Found a Dewalt 28v battery at the recyclers today,so looking for a budget 26650 flashlight. Yes,new category,please.

Edit; Did not charge as expected. A123 Nano technology is different. 3.3v and quick charging. No explosion?

Lennart(with all fingers intact).

A123 is a sort of LiFePO4 chemistry. It is supposed to be impossible to make them go kaboom.

I'd love to see it because I'm looking into getting 26650's and/or 32600's for my Old-Lumens custom maglite.

Any recommendations BLF? I'll probably need a charger for them also.

I'm not a huge fan of sub-forum's for essentially the same topic but if we're gonna have them I do think we might as well have a 26650 forum.

I'm really starting to get into that battery format and it might even start replacing my single 18650 lights if more attractive options become available. For single battery setups 18650 vs 26650, I think it should be a no-brainer the light be equipped to handle 26650 and then take an adapter to handle 18650.

Im kinda Ni-Mh only person, if I were to pick up Li, Id go for biggest battery possible, I believe 26650 is the most common one? And Id trust it more than 18650, its bigger, so should be safer, right ?

Yell

Past time!

I bought a 26650 with No Knowledge!

Now I do not use SolarForce L2P limited edition a great light!

But the New Shadow 26650 07 Pro has taken over as my EDC.

Yes, We need a Forum on 26650's!

My first 26650 light is on the way - Shadow JM07. I'd love to see a separate category.
